So..I've had a lot of things on my mind lately & I just haven't had time to perfect my story as I would have liked. I could bore you with the details of my life, but I'll give you the short & sweet version of the past week or so:
boyfriend troubles.
didn't get into the college I wanted.
fell down the stairs.
ripped a hole in my favorite jeans.
my aunt & uncle are getting divorced.
and the kids I nanny for can be hard to handle.
yet..I still have a smile on my face.
probably because I'm going home to visit next week!
EEEEEEEEE!!!!
anywho..here's a really short update! sorry girls.~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Chapter 9“One white chocolate mocha.” Roxy yelled placing the hot drink in a protective sleeve and setting it on the counter along with a straw.
Roxy smiled at the blonde haired boy as he come up and took the mocha in his hands, and then went about wiping down the espresso machine. “Aren’t you Roxy?” The guy gave her a flirtatious grin.
Roxy looked up, surprised, yet smiling. “Yeah, do I know you?” She studied his handsome face, but wasn’t sure she recognized him.
He laughed a little, showing his dimples. “Probably not, but I’ve noticed you around school. I’m Austin Blake.” He extended his hand over the counter, and Roxy shook it.
“It’s nice to meet you.” Roxy’s eyes shimmered in the soft lights, and she couldn’t deny how gorgeous this guy was. His light brown eyes reminded her of caramel, and his tall stature reminded her of her father-very strong and put together.
Austin started to walk away, but quickly turned back. “I know this may sound lame since you work in a coffee house,” he started babbling, which Roxy thought was adorable, “-but would you like to go have coffee with me sometime?”
Roxy gave a soft grin. “I would love to go out with you sometime. And don’t worry, coffee is like my addiction, so I am always up for a cup.” Roxy grabbed a pen and paper and wrote her information on it and handed it to Austin. “Call me anytime.”
Smiling, Austin looked over the piece of paper, and then placed it in his wallet for safe keeping. “Great. I will. Guess I’ll see you at school then?”
“Definitely.” Roxy watched Austin take his drink and walk out of the café, looking back once and smiling when he reached the door.

“No way. Austin Blake asked you out?” Emma squealed into the phone, resulting in Roxy having to pull it away from her ear.
“Well, sort of. He asked if I wanted to have coffee sometime, but it’s not like we set a date or anything. We will whenever he calls though.” Roxy tapped her pencil absentmindedly on her desk, which happened to be covered with her homework. Yeah, on a Saturday night, this is what she was doing: homework.
“But still, this is big! Austin is one of the cutest guys in school. Every girl has wanted to date him since like..kindergarten!” Roxy laughed at her friend. “And it surprises me that he seemed nervous. He doesn’t seem the type to get nervous.”
“Well, maybe people don’t know everything about him.” Roxy doodled flowers in the margins of her English essay. “He really seems like a nice guy.”
“Yeah, he does seem pretty cool from the few times I’ve actually spoken to him.” Roxy could hear Emma’s mother shout something in the background. “Sorry, Rox, I have to go do some chores.”
“That’s ok; I really need to finish our English Essay.” Roxy glanced down at the sheets of paper in front of her and sighed.
“Dang it, I knew there was something else I forgot to do. Great, guess I’ll be doing it too. Talk to you later sweetie.”
Roxy laughed. “Bye, Em.” When Roxy heard the click on the other end, she hung up as well, refocusing her attention at the task at hand.

Another hour passed by, and Roxy was finishing up with her closing paragraph. “Done.” She looked it over once more and decided to edit it a bit later. She was just happy to have all her ideas on paper. Writing had always come easy to her, unlike math. Now that was torture.
Her cell phone, which was on vibrate, started tickling the top of the table and Roxy picked it up. “Geiger” glowed in blue lights on the screen. Roxy took a deep breath; this was only the second time he had called her since she saw him in New York City over a month ago. The first time was a bit awkward and it only lasted for a few minutes, until someone yelled in the background for Teddy to get dressed for a show.
“Hey Teddy.” Roxy tried making her voice seem as perky as she could.
“Hey Bubbles.” Teddy said. “I’m home!”
“Yeah, I know. Emma said you’ve been home since Wednesday.” Roxy tried to hide the annoyance in her tone as she duly noted that this was also the first time he called her since he’d been back.
“Uh, yeah. Sorry, I haven’t really called much lately.” He must’ve heard the subtle change in her voice. “I’ve been crazy busy. I had shows almost every night since I last saw you and I’ve been spending every spare moment I can with Claire.” He started to ramble, and Roxy winced a bit when he mentioned Claire.
“Ted, is there a point in why you called?” Roxy drew her attention to the night sky, which she saw from her window. The quarter moon looked like a thumbnail among the cluster of stars.
Teddy sighed, knowing he wasn’t really getting anywhere with her. “I just missed talking to you, that’s all.”
Roxy wasn’t expecting that. “Well, I know you didn’t lose my number while you were on tour.” She said a little harder than she intended, and Teddy’s heart sank a little.
“I’m sorry about that, Roxy.” What else could he say? “I’m sorry if I hurt you.”
“You didn’t hurt me.” Roxy lied, noticing he called her Roxy instead of Bubbles. He hadn’t called her Roxy since her gave her the nickname. She wondered what it even meant. He still hadn’t told her.
“Oh, ok.” Teddy was dumbfounded. “Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go get some ice cream with me and just talk.”
Roxy bit her pink lip, looking at her math book. “I really should finish my homework.”
“C’mon Rox, you don’t have to stay that long if you don’t want to.” Something inside of Teddy prayed she’d say yes.
She couldn’t help but notice how the same day a cute guy walks into her life, and how she was finally coming to grips with the fact that she couldn’t have Teddy, here he comes, ready to mess it all up. “Ted, I just don’t think it’s a very good idea.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re dating Claire.”
“Rox, I’m a big boy. I can make my own decisions. Besides, we were friends before Claire, and I don’t see why that has to change.”
Roxy sighed, caving in, but only because he was offering free ice cream and she didn’t feel like doing her math yet. “Fine. I’ll meet you there in fifteen minutes.”
Teddy smiled. “Great. I’ll see you soon.” With that Roxy flipped her phone closed, ending the call, wondering if she just made a mistake. Shoving the thought to the back of her mind, she grabbed her jacket from her closet as her stomach did flip flops.
After quickly giving her parents kisses on the cheeks, and told them where she was going, she slid behind the wheel of her car, chilled to the bone from the cool November air. Once she started the car, she turned on the heater, and then took off to meet Teddy.
