Ok..here it is..oh, and it's longer this time. ;D
ENJOY!~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Chapter 16After talking with her parents, Roxy’s head was congested with many thoughts. Needing fresh air, she imminently grabbed her cell phone, went outside, and called Teddy. Roxy knew she now had to tell him how she felt or she may never have the chance. When he didn’t answer his phone, she tried calling his home number.
On the second ring his mom picked up. “Hello?”
“Hi, Mrs. Geiger, it’s Roxy. Is Teddy there?” Roxy bit her nail, hoping to hear his voice.
“Oh, hi, dear. No, he isn’t home. He has a benefit concert tomorrow in Cincinnati. He left this morning with the band.”
“Do you know when he’ll be back?” Roxy asked, running her hand through her long hair.
“He should be back the day after tomorrow. Do you want me to let him know you called?”
“No, that’s alright. I’ll try calling him on his cell again later. Thanks.” When Roxy got off the phone, her head was spinning. She looked back at her house, but then decided to take a walk instead, hopefully getting her mind off things.

Teddy’s phone rang, letting him know Roxy was calling again. He looked at it painfully and rejected the call. He didn’t feel like listening to anything she had to say, so he just turned it off completely. He wasn’t sure what he wanted from her anymore. He loved her, but she was right. She gave him the opportunity to have a relationship with Claire, and it probably wasn’t easy for her. So Teddy, determined to respect her wishes, decided to leave her alone to be with Austin. Even if it killed him to imagine her with anyone else, she deserved to get back what she gave to him.

Roxy sat on the park swing and closed her cell phone again. Teddy still wasn’t answering and all she wanted at that moment was to hear his voice. She came to the conclusion that he was either out of cell range or he was purposely not taking her calls because she knew he always carried his phone with him and he always had it on.
She knew she had screwed up earlier that morning. She should have just been honest with him. But no, her pride caught her every time. And where had that gotten her? A seat for one on the swings.

“I broke up with Austin.” Roxy walked into her best friend’s bedroom the next day and found her at her computer. Her curly brown hair was up in a messy bun and she was wearing her pajama bottoms with little stars all over them.
Emma turned around at Roxy’s voice. “You did? Why?” Roxy was now sitting on her bed, looking a bit distraught. Her blonde waves falling over her shoulders and her blue eyes had slightly less sparkle in them, with dark circles as a new accessory.
“He won’t answer my calls. I’ve been calling him since yesterday. He won’t answer them.” Roxy started mumbling, which confused Emma.
“Wait, you lost me. Austin won’t answer your calls?”
“No, Teddy. Teddy won’t answer my calls.” Roxy was staring at the ground like she was going to burn a hole right through Emma’s pink rug.
Emma thought for a second wondering what she missed. “Focus. One subject at a time, Rox. Why did you break up with Austin?”
Roxy looked up at Emma. “I’m moving. Me, my family, we’re moving to England at the end of the week.”
Emma’s mouth dropped open. “But..but, I thought you were staying until at least graduation?”
“So did I.” Roxy’s eyes bounced around the room, not being able to steady them on anything, as her mind raced. “Why won’t he answer my calls, Emma? I can’t take this.” Roxy stood up and began pacing the room. She couldn’t keep still. No matter how hard she tried, it was as if a swarm of bees was constantly around her and she had to keep moving so she wouldn’t be stung.
She just didn’t know what to do. She was leaving the country in three days whether she liked it or not. The Army needed her dad over quickly for an important operation which would take over a year or more to complete and they had no choice. Like they ever did anyway.
Every other time she was told they were moving; she did what she was told and went to her room to start packing. It got harder every time, but not once in her entire life did she ever argue with her parents over it. Not like her sister. Amy always raised hell when it came time to leave again, and Roxy was usually the one to help Amy see how wonderful each place was.
But this time was different. She felt if she left now there would be unfinished business until she had a chance to return someday. Oh why wasn’t Teddy answering his d.amn phone?
Emma grabbed Roxy’s wrist while she was on her fifth time across the room. “Stop, sit.” Emma pointed to her bed with her free hand and Roxy sat back down. “Is there a reason why Teddy wouldn’t answer your calls?” Emma eyed Roxy, having a feeling there was more to the story. Roxy replayed the dramatic scene on her front porch with Teddy to Emma, while Emma made mmhmm noises, as if she understood.
“Let me try giving him a call.” Emma dialed her cousin’s number into her cell phone, but ended up with only his voicemail. Emma flipped her phone shut, and looked at Roxy disappointed. She didn’t even have to say anything. “I’ll keep trying though.”
Roxy stood up again, but didn’t pace this time. She leaned in and gave Emma a long hug. “Thanks sweetie.” She let go of her friend, and pushed her hair behind her ear. “I better get home and start packing. I need to be doing something to take my mind off things. If you hear anything from Teddy let me know. But please don’t mention me moving to him. I want to tell him myself.” Emma nodded sympathetically, and walked her friend to the door.

The next day, with still no word from Teddy, Roxy reluctantly packed her belongings into the same boxes she never seemed to fully unpack in the first place. Her hands grazed her selves as she stared at all her photos. They were always the last objects she packed; as if keeping them out as long as possible, they could help stop time for her. Keep her in the present forever, and never make another place part of her past. But that was just wishful thinking. Every home, every bedroom was now a part of her past, as would this be in two days.
Roxy sat at her electric piano in the corner of her room and began playing the song she had written about Teddy while he was on tour.
When she was singing the chorus, Emma walked into her room and sat on her bed. When she was finished, Emma let out a “wow,” and Roxy turned around quickly, not realizing she had come in.
“Did you write that?” Emma asked curiously, still amazed at how beautiful her friend’s voice was, even though she had heard her many times before.
“Yeah, it’s just something I’ve been working on.” Roxy blushed, but it didn’t hold a smile with it.
“What’s it called?”
“Come Down To Me.”
“Have you ever thought of performing it on stage?” Emma’s brain was tinkering with an idea.
“No, well, I mean maybe someday. I don’t know.” Roxy knew she wanted to be in front of a crowd, but wasn’t sure if she was ready to share this song with the world.
“Well, what if I could make that someday tomorrow night?” Emma’s eyes beamed, but Roxy’s stomach flopped.
Roxy changed the subject to a topic she was more interested in. “Have you heard from Teddy?” Hope foolishly began rising in her heart.
“I haven’t talked to him personally; he still won’t pick up my calls. That punk. I did leave him an ear full on his voicemail though. But I did talk to my aunt; he called her last night saying that they aren’t going to be back until tomorrow now. I guess Billy got him into the studio there to work with another big producer.” Roxy’s heart sank to the floor, and Emma could see it in her expression. “I’m sorry.” She said quietly, knowing how hard this all must be for her.
“I know I hurt him, but I didn’t think he would completely shut me out. And at the worst possible time too.” Roxy’s eyes started tearing up when she glanced over at the same photo of her and Teddy that she have given him for Christmas. Emma padded the spot next to her on the bed and without a word, Roxy sat down beside her as Emma wrapped her in a hug.
As if sensing her sadness from downstairs, Molly came pouncing into the room and curled up at Roxy’s feet and looked at her with pitiful eyes.
Roxy picked up the puppy, rubbing her ear in between her fingers, feeling its softness. Soon Molly was licking her cheek, which brought the first smile to her face in what seemed like decades.
Emma saw the smile Roxy was radiating and decided to take advantage of it. “So, now what about that song on stage?”
