Alrighty..so I'm not new to the fan fic thing, but this is my first Teddy story! You can hate it or you can love it..it doesn't matter to me. But if you love it, just let me know!
Yeah, sure I'd love long comments that tell me everything you loved in that chapter, but I know you have lives. and I know you're busy. So am I!
I'm a full-time live-in nanny for 5 kids and I'm only 18..well 19 next month! But good news is..I already have a lot written, so I can update quite often..but, yes, you got it..only if I get comments. Because if I don't know anyone's reading it..why keep posting, ya know!?
Anywho..I just wanted to make sure y'all know that I have met Teddy, yet I have never met any of his family, never been to his house or even his town. So basically I'm going off my imagination with a sprinkle of my own life expirences. [for example: teacher's names..a few of the teachers in here were actually mine!]
Ok..I'll stop gabbing & let you read! The first chapter is a bit short..but I hope you like anyways! ;D

Chapter 1
Growing up, Roxy’s family never stayed in one spot for long; they were always on the move. Anywhere from Dallas, TX to some place overseas. She went to four elementary schools, three middle schools and five high schools. Making friends in almost every school, it was always unbearable to say goodbye. Roxy never wanted to leave, but she always did, keeping her head up, hoping to make friends at the next school. Sure, some will say that’s not a way for children to grow up, but she know it killed her parents every time they said the word “move.” She knew if they could help it, they would have stayed in one place her entire life. But her dad was in the military, so what could you expect?
“Class, I’d like you all to meet our new student, Roxanna Parker.” Mrs. Samuel, the Senior English teacher, announced when Roxy entered the room.
“Oh, you can call me Roxy.” She smiled softly, a bit nervous. She was always nervous the first day; it was expected.
“Alright, Roxy, would you mind telling us a little about yourself?”
Roxy smiled at the class, noticing all eyes on her, wondering where to begin. “Well, I was born in a small town named Ferndale, California. Then we moved from there to Dallas, TX, then to Arizona, and then it was Denver, and North Carolina. After that, we moved to Europe, living in London, then in Germany, as well as Italy and Denmark.” Roxy had rattled off this list many times before, always adding the last place to the end. “Then we came back to the states, living in North Dakota, Washington, and now we’re here in New York.” Roxy sighed, adding, “My dad’s in the military,” as if to give an explanation to all her moving.
Everyone looked at her in amazement. One girl in the back, with red hair asked, “how is like to move all around like that?”
“Oh, I don’t know. How’s it like to live in one spot?” Roxy asked jokingly, as everyone chuckled. “No, I’m just kidding.” Roxy was starting to loosen up. It never took her long. “Moving around is all I’ve ever known. Yeah, it’s hard always leaving new friends, but I’ve been lucky enough to have traveled and seen the world. But because I always have to deal with change, I started playing the guitar when I was younger. It’s been the only constant in my life, and now it’s kind of become my release when things become overwhelming.”
A guy with a black t-shirt on raised his hand, but didn’t wait to be called on before he started talking. “Where was your favorite place to live?”
Roxy thought for a moment. “It’s really hard to choose. Every place has its own unique something about it. But Italy was probably my favorite outside the states. It’s beyond beautiful and the food is amazing! But in the states, I’d have to say Washington. It rains a lot, but I loved how there are trees everywhere. It’s gorgeous.” Roxy then looked at the teacher letting her know she was finished.
“Well, welcome to Rochester, Roxy. You may take a seat next to Emma in the back. Emma, please raise your hand.” Mrs. Samuel spoke to the curly chocolate-brown haired girl, who was sitting in the second row to the back. She raised her hand, and Roxy made her way to her seat.
“I’m Emma Geiger. It’s nice to meet you.” Emma smiled at Roxy as she sat down, holding out her hand.
Roxy shook it. “It’s nice to meet you too.”
“If you need any help finding your way around here, just ask. I know what it’s like being the new girl. But lucky for me, I had a cousin going here at the time, so he helped me out.”
“Thanks. My next class is in room 460. Do you where that is?” Roxy asked.
“Alright class, hopefully yesterday you all shook off your ‘we’re-doing-nothing’ first day of school attitudes because today we will begin reading Shakespeare’s famous play Hamlet.” Mrs. Samuel grinned as almost the entire class groaned.
Emma looked at the teacher, who was busy searching for the right page in the text book, then leaned over to Roxy. “Isn’t that the choir room?”
Roxy looked at her schedule. “Yeah, Concert Choir with Mr. Karn.”
“I’m in that choir!” Emma said excitedly, her brown eyes lighting up. To Roxy, she seemed like a sincerely nice girl.
“Did you say something, Emma?” Mrs. Samuel looked at her a bit annoyed.
“No, ma’am. Sorry.” She slid down in her seat, trying not to giggle. She turned back to Roxy and whispered, “I’ll walk with you there.”
Roxy smiled, also trying not the laugh, and whispered back. “Ok.” Then they both opened their books and began paying attention, before either of them got in trouble.

The final bell on Friday rang, and all students began piling out of their classrooms. The past week flew by for Roxy. She and Emma had almost every class, plus lunch, together. Talking every chance they got, they found that they had much in common. Like their choice in music and the fact that they both think Orlando Bloom is hotter than Johnny Depp.
“Do you want to come back to my house to work on the math homework? Then maybe you could sleep over, so we could pig out on junk food and watch chick flicks.” Emma asked, after meeting up with Roxy at her locker.
“If you can believe it, I still have some unpacking to do.” Roxy closed her locker, holding a few books in her hands. They began to walk in the direction of the student parking lot.
Emma sighed, looking disappointed. “Dang. I was hoping you could help me with math. I’m terrible at it. Plus the junk food thing is more fun with a friend.”
Roxy laughed. “I’m not sure how much help I’ll be at the math, I’m terrible too. I barely understood what Mr. Mattox was talking about. But I do know how to pig out on junk food!” They both laughed as they walked through the doors and out into the crisp September air.
Roxy’s powder yellow VW Beetle was parked in the fourth spot. It took her two years to help pay for it. “I unpacked most of my things the last few days, so I don’t have much left. What time do you want me over?”
“You’ll come?” Emma perked up, sounding surprised. Roxy laughed and nodded yes. She took out a piece of paper and a pen and began scribbling something on it. “Here’s my home number-you already have my cell-along with my address. How about you come over between six and seven?”
“Alright, see you then!” Roxy leaned in and gave her new friend a hug.
“Not if I see you first.” This made Roxy laugh as Emma left and walked to her car. That girl was something. Besides being naturally gorgeous, she was nice and very bubbly. She was also outgoing, which was fantastic because Roxy was normally the same way. She had to be because she didn’t get much time to make friends before they were on the move again. If she wasn’t outgoing, she probably would have never met anyone in all her old schools.
