hey guys im and so so so sorry for not posting this last week like i said i would. Ive had it done for jst over a week now, but everytime ive come to login i was never able to- the page would go to cannot find server. So i finally got in 2day.
Hope you guys like this next chapter...its a bit meh, but its all that i could come up with.
Chapter 26
-Carry On-
I walked through the front door of my house with Teddy in toe to the sound of my brother pacing backwards and forth in his room. He usually only did this when he was nervous or had big news, and by the sound of how heavy his footsteps were and how fast he was going…..he had massive news.
“MAT” I yelled with no response as we both made our way up the stairs to my room to drop our bags.
“ MAT” I loudly said again as I left my room in destination of his and knocked on his door. I heard him run over and open it.
“hey” he said in an anxious voice as he grabbed onto both our wrist’s and dragged us over to his bed.
“Mat what the hell is going on” I said as he made us sit on his bed. I looked over at Teddy who was as clueless as I was.
“its Kim” he started as he grabbed onto his pocked which im assuming had something inside of it. What that something is I have no idea
“What about Kim” Teddy asked as he both looked at us. Something was definitely up, but I was oblivious to what that was
“I…I….im…going to ask her” he said and stopped as he reached for his pocket and I grabbed onto Teddy’s hand. I think we both realized what was happening now, and if we were right…I don’t think I could contain my excitement.
“im going to ask her to…..MARRY ME” he said as he pulled the ring box out of his pocket and placed it on his palm. I looked over at Ted who gave me a look and we both jumped up and basically tackled Mat to the ground.
“OMG MAT, AAHHH” I screamed basically right in his ear as we all sat back up on the floor in which we had now landed.
“congrats man” Teddy said as he shock mats hand and they did that male hug where they lean to one shoulder and smack each other back…you know
“thanks Ted” he replied back whilst still in the hug. He then turned to me, and I gave him a massive smile
“CONGRATS” I yelled and pounced at him tackling on the ground again. Ted just sat there and laughed at me whilst Mat was probably asking him to get me off.
“where’s the ring” I asked as I sat back up and Mat did as well but I pushed him back down. Im such a mean sister.
“well maybe if you let me sit up, I might be able to show you” he replied as he gave me a evil stare. I just looked up at the roof and shrugged my shoulders.
“ok im sorry…….but just show me” I said as I started to get impatient.
“alrighhhhhttttttt………….here it is” he said as he picked the box off the floor next to him and open it. It was a beautiful ring- plain yet stunning. It was a plain white gold band that had a fine detailed pattern on it and ended with a quite big square cut diamond that snugly fit in between a criss-cross pattern
“OMG Mat it beautiful” I gasped as I took the box off his hand and tilted it up towards me and Teddy.
“It looks awesome man…. who knew you could pick something out that good” Ted said with a laugh as Mat gave him some what of a glare, but then joined in and giggled
“you took the words out of my mouth Ted” I said as I also joined in.
“Ok so I need your guys help on something…..which is why I made you guys come home” Mat said as he got serious
“ok what’s the problem??” Teddy asked as he put his arm around my shoulder
“its just…I….I don’t know how to propose to her. I mean I have something in mind, but I think its way to corny” he replied as I handed him back the ring and he placed it back into his pocket
“well as long as your not thinking about placing it some where in her food or drink for her to find I think your on the right track” I said as we all let out a small laugh.
“hey…that’s out of the movie we watched last week” Ted said as I gave him a ‘duh’ look and he gave me a small frown.
“no its nothing like that” Mat started
“ok then..spill” I replied
“well I was thinking that I would drive her out to the beach house right at the time of sun down and we would watch the sun go down…..and whilst we were watching it I was thinking I would tilt her chin up towards me, look her in the eye and ask her…..” Mat said as tilted my head to the side and gave a small smile
“aww that’s so sweet Mat…..you should definitely do that” I said as I leaned over and hugged my brother
“really…you think that’s ok?” he questioned looking from one of us then the other
“of corse man…..its way better than anything I would have thought of” Ted said as mat nodded
“ok…..holy crap now im nervous” Mat said as he jumped to his feet and started pacing again.
“you will be fine I promise” I said as Teddy got up and helped me get up.
“do you need any help with anything??” Teddy questioned as he replaced his arm around my shoulder and I moved in closer to him.
“um….yea actually, I don’t know what to wear” he said rubbing the back of his neck and looking down at the ground as I just laughed.
“alright…well you go do what you need to do and me and Ted will pick out your outfit ok???” I questioned as I looked around his room at all the clothes laying about.
“um actually I need Ted to help me with something….so can you find the outfit and Ted can help me???” he questioned looking at Ted
“its fine by me” Ted said as both sets of eyes were on me
“oh its fine by me” I said as I let go of Ted and made my way over to Mats closet, and Ted and Mat left the room. I had just opened the door when I felt two arms wrap around my waist.
“I forgot to give you this before I left the room” Ted whispered in my ear as he kissed my neck then my cheek, followed by tightening his grip around my waist
“love you” he whispered in my ear as he loosened his grip
“love you more” I said as he let go of my waist and left the room. That boy could be so cute sometimes.
-Carry On-
“oi Lil stop trying to fix something that doesn’t need fixing and pass me the glue” I said as Lilly gave me a glare. We were now at Danny’s house setting everything up for Mitch’s party. Me and Ted had left my house about half an hour ago, after I picked his outfit and he and Ted figured out the music he was going to play. But now I was sitting on the floor with Teddy and Danny finishing off the big sign we were making to hang up as a massive banner, and Lilly was trying to perfect a bow that already looked perfect- I suppose she just wanted everything to look good.
“here” she said as she handed me then glue and I started to stick on the 16 pictures of him from the time of his birth to now, with a picture for each year.
“this is going to look ah-some” Teddy said as he glued his last picture on for his section
“it better…..I want everything to be perfect” Lilly said as she bent down to fix something on the poster
“everything is going to be perfect Lil….just the way you want it, but you have to chill ok?” I said as she basically ignored me and finished fixing whatever she was fixing. She was stressing way to much over the whole party, she was making sure everything was perfect- which is impossible because nothing in this world is perfect, and it was really starting to get on my nerves.
“well ive finished my section” I said as I stuck on the last picture and slid back to look at it and make sure it was ok. “and im thirsty….anyone want a drink??” I asked as I looked around and everyone shook their heads and looked back at the poster. As I started to get up I felt faint, my head started to go dizzy and my vision was blurred. I stumbled back onto the ground as Teddy and the other two came over to me.
“Cindy…babe are you ok” Teddy said with concern as he sat me up next to him, as I rested my head on his shoulder
“um….yea im fine…..I just feel a little dizzy” I explained as Teddy and Danny helped me up off the floor and onto the lounge and Lilly raced into the kitchen to get me some Panadol and water.
“im gunna call your brother and tell him to come pick you up” Teddy said as he reached for his phone and I grabbed onto his wrist to stop him
“no no don’t, im fine I swear” I said as Teddy gave me a look.
“Cindy your not fine…you just basically collapsed onto the floor” He said as he reached for his phone again and Lilly came in and handed me the water and Panadol
“Teddy I didn’t collapse on the floor…..I just had a dizzy spell…please don’t ring my brother. Im fine at the moment” I said as he looked up at me then put his phone away
“ok….but you have to tell me if you feel worse ok” he questioned as I nodded and Danny got a light blanket and placed it over me.
“I noticed you had goose bumps” Danny said as he winked at me
“thankyou ” I said to Danny as Teddy leaned over and kissed my forehead.
“ok so how about me, Ted and Lilly go put this poster up and you tell us if its level or not” Danny said
“I like that idea…this way I don’t have to get off my arse” I said as everyone started to laugh.
“you do realize Mitch is going to kill us for having those embarrassing photo’s on here” Teddy said as they grabbed it and stood up on the chairs in the area in which they were going to hang the banner.
“I know….” Lilly said in a carefree voice as we all let out a small laugh and the boys started to lift the banner up in place with help from me.
-Carry On-
“ you know we really should have called your brother to take you home, you still don’t look ok” Teddy said as he pulled me closer to him. We had left Danny’s a couple of minutes ago and were making our way home.
“im fine….and plus I feel better being with you” I said as I looked up into his eyes and he smiled and lent down and kissed me.
“I have an idea” Teddy said as he stopped, let go of me and turned around “Jump on” he said leaning down so I could jump on and he would give me a piggy back.
“ok” I said as I made a little run up and jumped onto his back as he grabbed onto me tight and we started making our way back to his house.
“how cool is it that Mat and Kim are going to be engaged” Teddy said
“well we don’t know yet”
“as if she would say no…like come on those to are so in love it isn’t funny”
“yea, but people can surprise you sometimes”
“so what you actually think she is going to say no???” Teddy questioned as he stopped and put me down gently
“no, no, but still there’s always the chance. I just think we should wait until we hear it from them” I said as Teddy looked at me
“Just because it happened to Daniel the first time, doesn’t mean it is going to happen to Mat” Teddy said
“I know, I know…your right she’s not going to say no” I said back as I started to rub my head and Teddy leaned forward for me to jump back on as we…well he kept walking back to his house.
-Carry On-
“ok are you sure your ok to walk home on your own?” Teddy questioned in a caring tone as we reached his house and stood at the end of his drive way
“im sure…..im fine now, the headache has completely gone and I don’t feel dizzy anymore, and plus ill just put my ipod in and let the music guide me home” I said whilst putting my arms around his neck, and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
“ ok…but if you suddenly feel again sick on the way home, call me and ill come and get you and walk you home ok?” he questioned whilst I wasn’t paying attention. A.J and one of his friends rode past us on their bikes.
“Hey Cindy” A.J called out in his chirpy voice as he rode down the drive way.
“Hey A.J” I called back as I refocused my attention on Ted.
“ok???” he questioned again
“ok….. I promise” I stammered trying to think of what I was agreeing to.
“good” he replied back as he leaned in and kissed me as I kissed back.
“ew guys get a room” A.J said in a teasing tone as he and his friend rested their bikes against the wall
“oh perlease……like you’ve never seen us kiss before and had a problem” Teddy replied back as he turned and looked at them.
“chill man I was joking….anyways you guys better come inside soon, there’s a storm coming” A.J replied just as we heard a loud burst of thunder.
“ok your definitely not walking home now” Teddy said with a smile said as he let go of my with one arm, still leaving the other arm around me and started to walk towards his house
“oh yay I get to spend more time with you” I said sarcastically as he gave me an hurt look, which made me feel slack for even joking about it.
“I was joking…I swear…just don’t give me that look” I said as he smiled and started laughing
“you are so easy to control” he said as I hit his chest and the rain started to lightly come down, as we made our way inside.
-Carry On-
In the time frame of 10 minutes the day went from a hot sunny day, to a stormy one. It was now full on storming with heavy wind, lightning, thunder and heavy rain. I was sitting on Teds bed watching the storm from his window whilst he was downstairs helping his dad move the cars under cover before the hail started. I was so lost in my own world that I didn’t even notice Rachel standing at the door with her Teddy bear in hand. She hated storms…. mainly because they frightened her. I gestured for her to come over to the bed I was on.
“Cindy” she said in a faint tone as there was a really loud long burst of thunder, and she bolted over to the bed. Within seconds the power had gone out and we were in darkness.
“Rachel” I said as I lifted the covers up in which she had dived under up as she pulled them back down
“what happened to the lights……why did you turn them off” she asked with a frightened tone. She was also afraid of the dark…..this just wasn’t her night.
“I didn’t sweetheart, it’s a blackout” I said as I heard a little scream come from her. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and unlocked it to turn on the light I had on it.
“common Rachel, lets go downstairs where your mum and A.J are and see if we can help them find candles”
“no.. its to scary to walk in the dark” she said as she pulled the covers back over her head.
“it will be ok, ill be with you the whole time, and plus ive got my phone to give us some light” I said in a calm tone as I lifted the covers and showed her the light. I felt her grab onto my hand as she pushed the covers up and came closer to me.
“lets go” I said as we got up and made our way downstairs where A.J and Mrs Geiger were looking for matches and candles.
“Rachel….Cindy is that you two” Mrs Geiger asked as we heard something loud drop on the floor. “oh found a candle” she added on as I let out a small laugh
“yes its us” I replied still holding onto Rachel’s hand, as Mrs Geiger lit a candle and placed it in he middle of the room so we could all see better.
“there we go, we have some light now” Mrs Geiger said just as the power turned back on. “I can never win these days” she added on as she through her hands up in the air and blew out the candle and Teddy and Mr Geiger came inside- dripping wet.
“oh my, you boys are dripping wet, hurry up and go upstairs and put some dry clothes on” Mrs Geiger ordered as she made her way over to the linen closet and pulled 2 towels of the closet and wrapped them around each of them. Teddy came over to me dripping water all over me, and grabbed onto my hand and pulled me upstairs with him.
“do you just want to stay here tonight, because I don’t think this storm is going to get better…if anything its probably going to get worse” Teddy said as we reached his bedroom.
“um ill have to ring my brothers and ask….but are you parents ok with me staying” I asked as I took a seat at his computer.
“you know my parents don’t care if you stay over, and plus my dad told me to ask you because he doesn’t want you and your brothers driving around in this storm” Teddy replied back as he made his way to the bathroom and there was a loud burst of thunder.
“yea I know I just wanted t make sure. Ill ring my brothers whilst your in the shower and ask” I said as Teddy nodded and closed the bathroom door to take a shower, and I grabbed the phone to call my brother.
-Carry On-
“here wear these” Teddy said as he handed me a pair of his trackies through the door. I had just gotten out of the shower and I didn’t have any pj’s at his house coz I wore them home the last time I was here.
“thankyou” I yelled back as I stuck my head out the door and smiled- he just laughed at me.
“so what movie do you want to watch….stomp the yard or disturbia” Teddy called out as I heard his mum knocking on the door.
“you pick I don’t mind” I yelled back as I splashed water on my face.
“ok…well do you want to watch disturbia” Teddy asked as I emerged back into his room
“sounds good to me…..where’d that come from???” I asked pointing to the tray of popcorn, cookies, lollies and cans
“my mum bought it up just a few seconds ago” he replied back as he pulled the sheets of his bed back
“aww that’s so nice of her..I love your mum” I said as I climbed under the sheets next to Ted and sat up to watch the movie which Ted had set up.
-Carry On-
“what’s wrong” I asked Teddy whilst yawning as I looked at the clock, which read 2:30. He was putting on a jumper and he was holding pieces of paper in his hand.
“nothing….im just going to go down stairs to the basement to record this song I just wrote” he replied back as I turned on the lamp that was on his bed side table.
“but its like 2:30 in the morning” I said giving him a look
“yea I know, but you know this is when I usually record things…. plus I cant sleep and my creative juices are on a high at the moment” he replied back as he came over at sat next to me on the bed and ran his hand through my hair.
“go back to sleep babe, ill be up soon after I finish this song” he added on as he leaned in and kissed me.
“goodnight” I said as he turned off the lamp and made his way downstairs.
-Carry On-
I woke up the next morning with Teddy back by my side. I thought about waking him up, but decided against it considering he probably didn’t get to sleep until early hours of the morning I thought ide let him sleep longer. I kissed his forehead, got out of bed and freshened up in his bathroom whilst changing my clothes. I sat down at his desk and drew him a drawing which consisted of 2 stick figures with one hand each holding a big heart in the middle and left him a little message at the bottom. I placed it on the pillow I was sleeping on, kissed his cheek and walked downstairs to the kitchen where I was greeted by Mrs Geiger
“Good morning Cindy” Mrs Geiger said as she hugged me hello
“morning” I replied back yawning and stretching
“do you want anything for breakfast…ill make it if you want” She replied as she closed the newspaper
“no, no im fine thanks for asking” I replied back as I took a seat.
“are you sure, I don’t mind making anything for you” she replied back. She was such a nice woman
“yea im sure thankyou” I replied back as we trailed off into conversation.
“well I better get home, thankyou for letting me stay over last night and for everything you did last night” I said as I got up and hugged her
“well it was a pleasure as always, you welcome to stay here when ever you want” she replied as she kissed my cheek good bye and walked me to the door.
“thanks….oh and Ted was up all night recording so he probably wont be up for another couple of hours” I said as I opened the front door.
“when does that kid ever sleep a whole night without going down to that basement” she said as we both laughed “thanks for telling me tho……ill see you later honey” she said as she hugged me once more and I made my way up their driveway.

I decided to walk home the long way today. I was in no rush to get home and I just wanted some time to myself to just listen to my ipod and walk around. I started walking down some random street which at first I didn’t know which street it was, but I soon realized.
I walked past a house that I knew all to well, the house where I had spent my whole summer the year before, whilst mostly everyone else was on holidays. The house that I used to love running to of an afternoon after school whilst holding his hand. Those were the days I thought in my head as “mmmbop” by Hanson started to play on my ipod. I started to hum the intro out loud and just before the lyrics started the song cut out. I looked down at my ipod to realise it had just died on me. I knew I had forgotten to do something this morning. Frustrated I shoved it back into my bag
“How could you do this to our family you d**khead. How could you go behind my back for so long with some floosy……. You’re a low life and we are all better off without you” I heard as I quickly looked to his house to see his mum and dad fighting on the front law. She was throwing his clothes at him and he had a suitcase in hand.
I looked up at his window, and there he was watching the episode that his parents were having in the front yard, with a depressed look on his face. At this point, no matter what he had done to me in the past, I just wanted to go up there and hold him in my arms and tell him everything was ok….but I couldn’t.
