"Oh, you're rockin' the John Mayer," she winked. "Awesome, awesome."
I rolled my eyes at her as I noticed she had dressed up for the occasion. I had figured it was just a coffee house, not a five star restaraunt, so why go all out?
"Yeah. It's just a coffee house, right?" I laughed. "No hidden tricks up your sleeve?"
She laughed at me. "I promise, this place won't turn into a club."
"Good."

"Oh wow, he's cute," she said as she stared down a guy. "Too bad the girl he's with is totally playing him."
"What?" I laughed. "How can you tell if a girl is playing a guy?"
"Well, first off, she's reading poetry with, like, pink eyeshadow. Who does that?" I snorted and rolled my eyes as I stood with my arms crossed and let her finish. "And second, she's winking at some other guy with the blonde shag going on."
I looked to wear she was pointing, and there was Bonnie, with her long blonde hair flowing down to the middle of her back, winking at a guy who looked like he could be her brother.
"Oh man, that's Ted's girlfriend," I laughed quietly.
"Who's Ted?" She asked curiously.
"Oh, um, he's this guy that I sort of dated, but then I lost him because I was totally stupid and moved to Colorado for this other guy because once again, I was totally stupid, and then I came back and I'm still madly in love with him, but he's with her."
"Oh! Can I break it to him that his girlfriend's cheating on him?" She begged. "Please, please, please?"
I rolled my eyes. "Do whatever you want, just leave my name out of it. He'll hate me forever."
She laughed. "I was only kidding. Besides, I think he may have heard you."
I turned around and sure enough, there was Teddy. I felt my cheeks grow hot and I looked down at my feet in an attempt to hide. "Hey," he said softly. His voice and attitude seemed much more welcoming than they were yesterday. "I see you're wearing that John Mayer shirt."
I nodded.
"So um... Are you here to just drink coffee or would you like to listen to some stuff?"
I shrugged. "Who's playing... Reading... whatever they're doing?"
"Well, Bonnie said she was planning on reading something, and I'm sure there are tons of guys with acoustic guitars walking around here."
I smiled at him. "Sure." Alyssa cleared her throat. I had almost forgot about her. "OH! Ted this is Alyssa, she's in one of my classes."
"Actually I'm her bodyguard, the title of classmate is only a cover-up."
"Oh," he said and nodded his head sarcastically along with her as we all took a seat at his table.
Bonnie pranced her body up to the platform they considered a stage, and then proceeded to blow our minds with confusing words like "moon" and "stars". Honestly, after tonight I thought the girl was a completely fake, arrogant, air head with nothing better to do.
"Isn't she good, guys?" Teddy asked.
I took a sip of my coffee and smiled fakely and replied with an un-enthusiastic, "Yeah..."
I think that all night, she had stared a hole through my head like I had a disease that needed to be burned off. Finally, I called her on it. "What? Are you trying to make me disappear with your death rays?"
I was glad Teddy wasn't around. "Uh." She scoffed. "Just so you know, Ted told me all about you. You're just a big black hole that sucks everyone in to your silly little story."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. I'm done with this anyway. Bye. Tell Teddy I'd love to stick around, but all of a sudden there's this strange stench in the air that I can't escape."
Alyssa let out a snort and we left, depositing our cups in the trash on the way out.

"Hey," Teddy smiled at me perkily as I opened the door in my pajamas. "Wow, nice hair!"
I glared at him. "Shut up. I wasn't able to sleep last night."
"So you skipped two classes?"
My eyes suddenly flew open and I looked at the clock. "Oh crap! Oh crap!"
"Chill," he laughed at me. "I was only kidding. It's Saturday."
I breathed a sigh of relief as we moved to the living room where I sat on one end of the couch, and he was on the other. "So where's Bonnie?"
He laughed. "She... Let's say the coffee made me realize how dumb she really is." I gave him a questioning look and he continued. "Well, after you left, a guy walked up to her and started talking to her and ordinarily I wouldn't have minded, but then, he kissed her, like, right in front of me too!"
I pretended to be surprised. "And she seemed so sweet too."
"Come on, we both know you didn't like her."
I gave him a grin. "Ok. So I didn't like her... What of it?"
He nodded. "I knew it!"
"So who's next?" I joked and he laughed.
"It's not like I keep a list."
"Oh you don't? I thought everyone did that. I know I do." I winked at him. "I'm just joking. But Alyssa does. I've seen it."
"I feel sorry for those poor boys."
"And they really are boys too, because she dated, like, four high school seniors within the past month." I laughed and he gave me a goofy smile. "So what are you doing today?"
"Well, I thought I'd see what an old friend was up to. Maybe she'd like to spend the day with me?"

Oh thank goodness! he got rid of that....that....well you know, and they are back on good terms! eeee! I can't wait for them to finally get together! =D you know I love it, so I won't repeat it...even though I just kinda did....aaaaaaaaaanyways! can't wait for more!

Alyssa is a poetic genius...The Wonder Years huh? I was more of a Boy Meets World fan myself...but that's a classic too...haha
Too bad they aren't in California, I'd like to see them spend the whole day at Disneyland...that would be freaking awesome....Star Tours, Pirates of the Carribbean, the Peter PAn ride...good times!...I think you should consider that possibility...=D
