The concert went pretty well, even though there was a lack of conversation. I guess we were both either uncomfortable (I know I was), or Teddy just didn't have anything to say.

"So did you have a good time?" I asked on the ride home.

He nodded before answering. "Yeah."

"Me too."

He nodded.

"So um... How are you doing?"

He shrugged. "Good."

I nodded and rolled my eyes as I realized one word answers were his thing tonight. "So um... Bonnie. She's cute." She really was, she was gorgeous, and I was completely jealous... Without a doubt.

He nodded. "Yeah."

"She seems really sweet."

"Yeah."

"Oh my gosh, Ted!" I caved. "Why can't you give me more than a one word answer?"

"What do you want me to say?" He asked. "That everything is ok? Don't worry about anything you put me through? You got me freakin' arrested, Bailey!"

"I know, and I'm sorry," I said. "I'm sorry, ok? Sorry for every single, d*** thing I did. I left, and I know I shouldn't have. OK!? I'm freakin' sorry for being such a silly, scared little girl."

"Scared of what?"

"Feelings." I said quietly. "Specific feelings toward a specific someone, who will remain nameless at this point."

I pulled into his driveway, but he didn't hop out like I expected him to. "Me?"

I sighed and nodded as I stared at the steering wheel. He was silent for a while, until his cell phone began to ring. "I umm... I'll see you... Later."

I nodded as I watched him get out and walk up the driveway. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

"Where's my shirt?!" Jerome said as soon as I answered the door the next day.

"On the counter," I laughed as Tallie walked in holding Lorelei. She rolled her eyes and went to take a seat in the living room.

"Hey Bai?" He called. "Which one?"

"There should only be one," I told him. "I'm wearing mine."

"Well, there's a white one and a navy blue one."

"Oh, well the white one is yours," I said. "Ted must've left it in my car."

"Ted went with you?" Tallie asked curiously. "I didn't know you two had seen each other."

I nodded. "Yeah. I went over to his house and asked him to go with me."

"Wow," Jerome said.

"I know, right?" I laughed. "I would've never done that if I was still in high school."

"No not that," He laughed. "You bought, like the most expensive shirt."

I rolled my eyes. "Are you complaining? Because I'll gladly take it back and keep it for myself."

His eyes grew wide and he shook his head furiously. "No, no, expensive is fine."

"So where are you guys going tonight?" I asked curiously.

"Well, there's some new movie he wants to see," She said. "But I'm just there to watch the hot celebrities."

"Yeah," Jerome said. "Hey!"

Tallie and both burst out laughing, as Jerome insisted it was time for them to leave for the movie. "We'll see you guys later," I said as they left and Lorelei hiccupped from her carrier.

"Let's take Teddy his shirt, LoLo," I said as I grabbed it off the counter and picked her up. "Is that ok with you? Good. Because you have no choice."

I laughed at myself for talking in such a goofy voice, but she seemed to like it, so I guess that was all that really mattered.

Standing out in the cold waiting on someone to answer the door is not the funnest thing in the world. Especially when you've got the heaviest sixth-month-old in your arms. By the time someone answered the door, I didn't care who it was, I just pushed my way inside to get warm.

"And who are you?" A female voice asked and I immediately snapped my head in her direction.

"Oh umm. I'm a friend of... The family." I said, trying to keep the conversation safe. She eyed me curiously before leaving me there to get Teddy.

"She says she knows you," She snapped and he looked back and forth between the two of us.

"Uh, yeah. She was going to a concert last night and I told her to get me a shirt." He partially lied as I handed it to him and he held it up for her to see. "See? John Mayer."

She still seemed suspicious, but smiled. "Hi. I'm Bonnie."

"Bailey," I said. "And this is my... Neice, I guess you could say, Lorelei. I'm babysitting. It's not mine. There's, like, no way I could handle a kid full-time right now, with school and my job, and yeah... I'm rambling and neither of you probably care, so I'm just going to see myself out and I'll see you guys... Whenever."

"Bye," She said quickly as she turned him around quickly and forced him into the other room. Forget what I said about sweet; More like total b****.

"Ok, ok," I said to Alyssa over the phone. She was raving about a coffee place that she wanted to go to and she wanted me to go with her. "So as soon as Tallie comes to get the baby, I'll call you and I'll meet you there, ok?"

"Ok, great!" She was excited. "You're going to love this place, Bai! They've got, like, the best cappuccinos ever and they have live acoustic music some nights, and then the other nights people read poetry."

"Poetry?"

"Yeah, you know, short little thing every line rhymes with the previous one. That cat looks like a bat, The bat is wearing a hat."

I snorted as I laughed at her. "Ok, if you say so. Hey! Maybe you can show off your skills."

"No thanks, I suck at poetry."

"Forget it, I was being sarcastic." I said.

"Oh, ok I get it!" She started laughing and then realized I had been making fun of her. "Hey!"

I laughed. "See you later, Alyssa."

"Bye."

I seriously hope Teddy and Bonnie won't be there.
