Tallie and Jerome were gone, so all I had for entertainment was my job. Almost every night someone had to be escorted for being too drunk or starting a fight. The best part was watching the fraternity boys hitting on all the rich girls they could never get.

"So you think he'll get her tonight?" I asked Willa as we stood behind the bar just watching people.

She shook her head, but then shrugged indecisively. "I'm not sure. It is a full moon."

"That it is. But I still don't think she'll give in to some frat guy." I said. "Unless she's totally desperate."

Just as I said this the blonde girl licked her lips and grabbed the guy by the collar of his polo shirt and led him out of the club.

"Looks like she couldn't hold off any longer," Willa laughed as Riles walked in and sat in front of us. "OH! I so forgot to tell you! Last night as I got home, I noticed that someone was moving in to the house next to mine. I thought it was so weird because it they were moving in at night."

I nodded as she twisted the ends of her blonde hair around her finger. "I wonder who it could be."

"Are you ok?" She asked in a concerned tone.

I nodded. "I'm good. I'm just really tired. I haven't got much sleep at all the past few nights."

"Well, why don't you go home?" She suggested. "I'm sure we'll be fine. It's only Monday, so we should be slow."

I agreed reluctantly as Riles followed me out to my car. "Bailey! Wait up!" I turned and smiled tiredly at him while he caught up with me. "I just um... I wanted to ask you if maybe some time you'd like to get dinner, maybe?"

I was so tired that I didn't know what I was saying, but I ended up agreeing to go with him.

"Great!" He smiled widely at me. "I'll see you tomorrow night then."

I waved as I got into the car and drove off. I was glad I didn't have to work the next day. I could spend all day in bed until I had to get ready for my date.

"So I heard this place was pretty good," he said as we sat down.

I nodded. "Yeah, that's what Willa said." I smiled at him nervously. I hadn't been on a real first date since Teddy. "I need to go to the restroom. If the waiter comes, I want a water."

He nodded. "I'll be here."

I made my way to the back of the restaraunt, where I could've sworn I saw someone that looked just like Teddy seated across from a blonde girl with curly hair.

I laughed at myself. What was I thinking? It was impossible that it was Ted. He was still in New York.

It was a bad angle that I saw his face, so it's probably someone who just looks similar. I had convinced myself that there was no way it could be Ted, but I still had high hopes that it had been.

The date had gone rather well, despite the moments I had zoned out when I was thinking about Teddy. I really did miss him, and ever since Tallie and I had talked that night, I couldn't stop thinking about him.

"I had a really great time tonight," Riles said as he smiled at me from the driver's seat.

I nodded and agreed. "It was fun."

"You're a really interesting person. I never knew you lived here before." He said. "And it's totally cool that you grew up in New York."

I shrugged. "It's not like it was the actual city or anything." I told him. "It's just your typical American town with it's typical American high school."

He nodded. "Sounds like the way I describe California."

I laughed and nodded as he pulled into my driveway. "So, I'll see you later."

Before I knew it, he had pulled me into a kiss that was deep and almost too passionate for the moment. "Goodnight." He said as we parted.

"Bye." I said in a voice barely above a whisper before exiting the car and heading inside.

"So last night there was guy in here looking for you." Willa informed me as we cleaned up the bar before it opened. "I told him you were off last night."

"Did he say what his name was?" I asked curiously, but she shook her head.

"He just said 'Thanks' and left." She shrugged. "So how did that date with Riles go?"

She bumped her hip into mine and winked. "It was good."

"Did you guys kiss?" She sounded like a teenage girl hearing about her best friend's first date.

I felt my cheeks getting warm. "Yes. We kissed."

"Oh goody!" She squealed as she clapped her hands together. "So you two are officially official now!"

I rolled my eyes and laughed at her. "If you want to put it that way."

"What's wrong?" She asked curiously. "I mean, he's a great guy. He's good looking. I'm sure he's a great kisser, right?"

I nodded. "I don't know... I mean, he is all those things you said, but something is... Missing for me, I guess."

She sighed. "Oh, well, not all of them can be Mr. Right. You just have to have fun and date them to find out, I guess."

I nodded and laughed. Maybe she was so right.
