A few weeks later, she woke to someone knocking on her door. She sighed as she stepped past Tim and Anna and peeked through the peep-hole. No one.
She opened the door to find three gossip magazines covered with paparazzi-taken pictures of she and Teddy. She sighed as she picked them up and went inside with them. A note fell out just as she reached her bedroom.
#1What was that supposed to mean? She shrugged as she placed them in a cardboard box with the others she had bought.
After taking a phone call from Lilly, saying she would be at the store this afternoon, she decided on getting dressed and taking Anna out clothes shopping. The little girl was growing like a weed, and as her godmother, she felt the need to spoil her.

She knew exactly where to look for the obsessive guys with their cameras. A lot of them could've passed for innocent tourists, but she knew better. She had been warned when she first arrived that if she knew anyone famous, her face would eventually be plastered on every ridiculous magazine in the country. She had also been given tips on how to avoid the unwanted press.
After a few hours of buying Anna's necessities, she headed over to LB to meet up with Lilly, even though it was her day off.
"Hey Lills," she greeted as she came in the door. "Remember Tim Riggins?"
"This is the baby you've been telling me about?" Lilly asked in shock as Becca nodded. "And he's dating Amie now? Gah."
Becca laughed as Lilly continued to talk.
"So how's Teddy?"
"Besides engaged?" Becca laughed. "I wouldn't know, he hasn't talked to me in a few weeks."
"Well, maybe it wasn't meant to be. Its too bad. You two had something."
"Stop reminding me," Becca groaned. "I don't want to spend the rest of my life comparing everyone to him and thinking about what could've been."
"Thats a good way to look at it, I guess." Lilly nodded. "So you're moving back to Dillon?"
"Just outside Dillon," she told her. "I've been looking up properties online and I found one that needs a bit of work, but it will be perfect."
"How much is it?"
"Well, its a foreclosure property, so its marked down quite a bit, but I can't remember it off the top of my head." Becca nodded. "Its sad that Tim wants to stay here, though."
"You know he'll change his mind. Without someone to help him out with Anna, he's not going to do well."
"Its great to know that I'm now Tim's keeper." Becca joked and Lilly laughed with her. "But Amie is moving out here, so she'll be here to keep him in line."
"Oh, I see. So when is the official moving date?"
"August. I've got a few months to get everything ready."
"You going to tell Teddy?" Lilly asked, knowing that her sister hadn't done so yet. That was how Becca was, she put the things that should've come first last, and the small details always came first.
"Eventually. Like maybe when he decides to invite me to the wedding. Its in October, and I haven't even been told where or if I'm even invited."
"Maybe he sees it as a conflict of interest?" Lilly suggested as Tiffany joined them with a patch of fabric.
"Definitely," Tiffany agreed as her boyfriend entered the store to take her out to lunch.
"Yeah, well... Its not, because he's made if fairly obvious that those feelings are no longer there for him." Becca informed them and they both rolled their eyes.
"If you say so Becks. I'm out for now." Tiffany grabbed her purse. "I'll be back."

>Two Months Later<
It was her last night in California. She thought she would be more sad than this, but she wasn't. She felt like she wasn't really supposed to be here anyway, in spite of the beautiful weather and massive amounts of eye candy around every corner.
Teddy had called her, asking to take her out to lunch again. It had been quite awhile since they'd seen each other face to face. Text messages and phone conversations were usually their main source of conversation.
"So I got you something," he laughed as he held his hands behind his back. "This!"
He pulled out a National Enquirer with her on the cover. She was carrying Anna down the street.
'Could this be Teddy's secret child?' The caption read and Becca had to laugh as they showed yet another picture of Teddy and Camilla together, this time at a local club.
She couldn't laugh for long though, because she kept thinking about the way she had forgotten to mention that she was leaving, again.
"And I got you this!" He said as he pulled out a three pink tulips.
"Aw, thanks. You know this is a really bad image to send out so close to your wedding." As much as she didn't like Camilla, she wanted him to be happy. She didn't want to be the one to interfere.
He shrugged it off. "It'll be ok. I'm sorry I haven't talked to you a whole lot lately. Milla's just been obsessive about the details, and well, if she knew I was calling you, she'd probably freak."
She nodded. "I understand." Although if Camilla really loved him, she would've let him hang out with his friends, despite their gender.
"So do you want to do this again tomorrow?" He suggested a while later as they were leaving.
"I can't." She said quietly as she looked around nervously.
"Becca?" He asked.
"I'm moving back to Texas." She said quickly.
"Why didn't you tell me?" She shrugged and he sighed dramatically and crossed his arms across his chest. He was slightly upset now, she knew. "I wish you would've told me sooner, and I would have made more plans with you."
"Don't worry about it. You'll be a married man soon anyway and won't have time for any of us, so I guess I'll see you on the TV."
"Becca, don't be like that!" He yelled. "Seriously, you think you're less important than her?"
She gave him a look. "Listen, I need to get going, I told Lilly I would help her at the store for a little bit, and I've still got a few things to pack up, so..." she shrugged.
"What time does your plane leave?" He asked quietly.
"Five a.m."
"LAX?" She nodded as he moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her, but she kept hers wrapped around her own body. "I'll miss you."
"Yeah, you too." She whispered. He bent down and gave her a kiss on her forehead, then her cheek.
She could've sworn he meant to kiss her lips, but she thought maybe the pause he took was to get one last look at her before she left, because she knew he wouldn't be at the airport in the morning.

She went home and pulled the now full box of gossip magazine clippings and laughed. She thought about burning them, but decided against it, because they would all make a rather interesting scrapbook. Her doorbell rang, just as she put the note with the #2 written across it.
That had come attached to a picture of she and Teddy talking in the dress shop.
She sighed as a thunderstorm thundered on outside the apartment. She opened the door, and when she saw someone she didn't recognize on the other side, she started to panic. She was the only person home, and she didn't know when Tim would be back.
"Number three." He said as he handed her a polaroid of she and Teddy from earlier that day. The man grabbed something inside of his jacket.
She had taken all the other items as jokes, or innocent gifts, but now she realized they were much more dangerous. She reached for the edge of the door, but was too late. The guy had already slapped her across the face.
"You see this?" he held a shiny pocket knife in her face. "She's angry, and you better stop."
He grabbed a piece of her hair and cut it with the knife. She didn't even wince.
"Hey!" Tim's familiar voice called from the hallway, where he had a clear view of everything. The guy jumped up and ran away at a speed that was probably unnatural for any man. "You ok?"
She nodded silently as he came closer and inspected her hair. "At least he didn't chop off everything."
She nodded, knowing that it would still need to be fixed. She made a mental note to find a hair salon as soon as she reached Texas.
"What was that about?" he asked and she shook her head.
"I think it was just one of those home-invasion things. He probably just wanted to rob us." She said as she stuck the picture in her back pocket. Tim didn't know about the things that were left for her.
She was never more glad to be leaving something behind. She knew now that California really did hate her, and it was time to move on. To move on from Teddy. To find herself and what she wanted to do with her life. Maybe she was right for not wanting to ever leave Texas the first time.
THE ENDI hope you guys liked it!
But don't worry, there's more.
However, it is shorter.
I just felt the need to end here and start new with a new thread for the sequel.
It's been great writing this one, and I hope you all will enjoy the sequel just as much!
Let me know what you guys thought!
