A few weeks later, Tim had convinced her to go out and have a good time with him, while their neighbor and only other person on the floor with them, Ms. Winters watched Anna.
"Get up," he had said as he pushed her off the couch. "Change clothes, we're going out."
She groaned in protest, but he simply threw a casual, yellow dress at her. "What are you my stylist now?"
"I saw it in your closet and I thought you'd look good in it. Just a suggestion." He yelled from somewhere on the other side of the apartment.
"What are you doing in my closet?" She mumbled as she stood up to change.
"You look beautiful," he smiled when she finally stepped out of the bathroom, with her brown hair, which had grown back out recently, flowing in waves over her shoulders.
"I can't believe I let you convince me to come here," she said as she watched several famous young Hollywood-ers walk by them. "I don't even know anyone."
"Chill, ok? I just thought you'd like to get out. All you do is work or take care of Anna or help me find small electrician jobs. You need time away. I mean, seriously, work is work and you shouldn't take it so seriously all the time, and Anna technically isn't your child and you shouldn't have to take care of her so much - although I am grateful for everything that you do."
"Tim, I don't know how to do anything else anymore."
"You used to." He said as he thought about when they had been together.
"I did. But somewhere I got scared of it. I turned into a workaholic, nannyaholic freak of nature." She sighed as she grabbed a drink off the counter.
"You know that has alcohol in it, right?" Tim laughed, "We're both underage, and I'm not having a repeat of three years ago, k?"
He pulled the drink out of her hand, set it on the bar and apologized to the guy behind the counter.
"I didn't mean let's get drunk. I meant, lets get out, maybe meet some people, dance a little..." he informed her. "So do you want to dance?"
She sighed before grabbing his hand and following him out to the floor, where they joined a group of people dancing to loud music being played by a DJ on stage.
Maybe this would be good.

"So I saw you at that club Friday night." Tiffany taunted. "Who was that sexy man you were with?"
Becca laughed just as 'That sexy little man' walked in the door. He was finally here to fix the wiring in the fitting rooms.
"Tiffany, I'd like for you to meet Tim, he's one of my closest friends and he's here to fix the wiring upstairs." Tiffany's cheek blushed and Becca couldn't help but chuckle.
He smiled politely at Tiff before looking to Becca, "You want to show me where it is?"
She smiled and waved him up. "So I've been thinking," he began as he surveyed the wires. "I..."
She snorted as he began climbing down the stairs. "You what?"
"Becca, there's somebody here to see you!" Tiff called.
"Send them on up!" She turned back to Tim, who had his trademark mischievous smile playing across his face.
He leaned in and gave her a soft kiss on the lips, which she returned. She wasn't sure why she was reciprocating the action, but she knew she didn't hate it. She had always loved the way his lips felt on hers, and the way they made her feel.
Someone cleared their throat from behind them and they both jumped as they turned to see Teddy standing there, watching them.
Oh no, not now. Not today. What am I supposed to say to you?
"Is this a bad time?" he finally spoke.
Of course its a bad time, you... you loser.
"No, Tim's just fixing the electrical... stuff... in..." She was so nervous she couldn't even finish her sentence.
"In the fitting rooms. I'm an electrician." He said. "How you been?"
Ted smiled nervously. "Good. You?"
"Its getting better." Of course, Teddy knew nothing of what he was talking about, but he assumed he didn't really want to know.
"I just.. Um, when I called you the other day and you didn't answer I was going to ask to take you out to lunch, and then that day you ran into me, I knew you were avoiding me." He laughed. "So anyway, I'm here to offer you lunch."
"My break isn't for another hour." She said quietly.
"It's ok, I got it!" Tiffany called from downstairs, giving away that she had been listening in the whole time.
Becca made a mental note to rant to Tiff later. "Ok. Um. Tim, I guess I'll see you when I get home."
Tim nodded as she began to follow Teddy down the stairs. Tim grabbed her arm and whisper to her.
"Its ok to make amends, Becks." He kissed her forehead before physically turning her around and giving her a slight shove in the general direction of the stairs.
Oh, this is going to be one long lunch break. She silently groaned as she thought about the confrontation at hand.
