so i didn't get a chance to finish it tonight... but i'm done with classes at 1.30 tomorrow so i'll work on it when i get done so i can post it tomorrow night =]

Here's the next chapter... hope you like it, and sorry it took so long for me to get it posted =]
Chapter 38
A smile replaced the confused look on my face.
“I guess I’d forgotten how we both tell you our secrets,” I laughed.
“Yeah, now that things are back to being cool with you two I hope you’ll tell EACH OTHER how you feel and not tell me. I’m not cool with being in the middle of you two… it’s just weird… and I’ll be heading back to school soon, so I won’t be around anyway.”
“Oh wow, when are you leaving for school? I forgot that you start about the same time we do,” Ted said with a concerned look on his face. I loved it when he was trying to be serious… he looked so adorable.
“Well, I move back in four days… then classes start next Monday. Isn’t that the same day that yours start too?”
“Yeah, it’s hard to believe that summer’s almost over,” I said with a sigh.
“But that means we’ll get to see each other all day long,” Teddy said with a smile.
“And I’m definitely not objecting to that,” I grinned.
“And this is where I make my exit,” Chris said with a laugh.
“No, it’s totally fine man, stay as long as you need,” Teddy said, looking back to Chris.
“I was finished anyway. And I just wanna thank you again Ted for letting me use all your equipment. Make sure you keep in touch while I’m gone…”
“You know I will,” Teddy added.
“Well, I’m gonna head back home. And Jess, I’ll let mom know that you’re staying here for a bit longer than you originally thought,” Chris said, winking.
“Thanks,” I smiled.
After Chris left it was just me and Teddy again, and that’s really how I preferred it. We were still sitting on the couch in the basement listening to music. Suddenly, an all too familiar song began to play. It was ‘She Paints Me Blue’ by Something Corporate… the song that started it all. Okay, so it didn’t really start it all, but it definitely pushed the process along that much faster. I smiled to myself as I thought about that day and our dance competition.
“Do you remember that day at the beginning of the summer when…” Teddy started.
“I was just thinking about that day,” I interrupted him.
“Really?”
“I sure was. That’s funny that we were both thinking the same...” I started when Teddy suddenly kissed me. “…thing,” I finished as we pulled away.
“Yeah, I know I’ll never forget it,” Teddy added with a smile.
“I don’t wanna start classes again… we won’t be able to hang out all day like we have been this summer,” I said with a sigh.
“Oh don’t worry Ayerplane, we’ll still make plenty of time to spend together. I do plan on taking you on some proper dates this year you know,” he said, raising his eyebrows.
“I thought the dates we’ve been on were proper… they weren’t?”
“Oh, no. I mean like, dinner at a nice restaurant… that sort of date. All we’ve done is like, ice cream… movies… stuff teenagers do. I think we should date like adults. What do you think?”
“Uh, Ted… we are teenagers,” I said with a laugh. “But I know what you mean. I don’t want to treat this like just another high school romance that will end at graduation, ya know.”
“My point exactly,” he said with a grin.
“So…” I started. “I’m kinda bored.”
“WHAT?!? I never imagined you’d feel that way when you’re with the amazingly talented Mr. Teddy Geiger,” he said, crossing his arms and turning away from me.
“What I meant was… we should play a song together. What do you think? I’ve been staring at that guitar and it’s just begging me to pick it up and play something.”
I could tell he wanted to go along with it, but he had to milk the situation just a little more before giving in.
“I don’t know…” he added. “I’m a pretty boring guy, and I don’t think a guitar would make it much better.”
“But Teddy…” I said in a quiet voice. I moved over and sat on his lap so he would have to look at me. He didn’t object, but he didn’t say anything either. “Come on, you know I was kidding… what can I do to make it up to you?” I said with a pouty face.
Yet again he didn’t respond, so I got up and walked over to the guitar. I picked it up and put the strap over my shoulder.
“Well then I guess I’ll just have to sing to you until you’ll talk to me,” I said with a small smile. I began to play a song I’d just listened to earlier in the day called ‘When You Look Me in the Eyes.’
I started to sing,
“When you look me in the eyes

When you’re right here by my side

I catch a glimpse of heaven

Teddy had turned to me when I started singing. Now he had stood up and was walking towards me.
“Don’t stop playing,” he added. So, I kept on playing the song, and he began to sing.

I just gotta let you know
I never wanna let you go
When you look me in the eyes
And tell me that you love me
Everything’s alright
When you’re right here by my side
When you look me in the eyes
I catch a glimpse of heaven

“Aww… my little Tedster listens to the Jonas Brothers,” I said with a smile. “I knew you couldn’t resist them… they’re just too adorable aren’t they.”
“Now listen here young lady, I only listen to those songs of theirs so I can make some smooth moves like I did just then… and maybe it’s just a little bit because they have some really good music… maybe.”
“You’re so cute, did you know that?”
“Not cute… I’m awesome.”
“Oh, my bad. But I’m still gonna say how cute and adorable you are.”
“Fine, if you must… just don’t do it around my friends. You know… gotta keep up the manly persona when I’m around them.”
“Right… big bad Geiger. Too bad you now have a girlfriend who loves you and can’t promise she’ll be able to control herself… even when your friends are around.”
“Well, I guess that’s something I’ll have to learn to deal with. I mean, when your girlfriend is so amazingly beautiful, it’ll be kinda hard not to show her off.”
“Show me off?”
“Oh right, we’re talking about you…” he said with a grin.
“You’re getting yourself in trouble Geiger.”
“I’m too cute to get in trouble,” he laughed.
“Don’t be so sure…” I started.
“Well at least I’ll never get in trouble by you, when I know that all I have to do is this…” he said as he leaned in and kissed me.
“That’s true I guess,” I said with a smile.
“Of course it is,” he added.
“Well, on that note, I should probably get back home. It’s kinda late already… I didn’t realize how much time we’d spent down here… not that that’s a bad thing at all.”
“It had better not be. And I guess I’ll let you go home, but on one condition.”
“And what’s that?”
“That you promise to call me tomorrow so we can spend the entire day together.”
“Alright… the entire day,” I smiled. “Bye Tedster.”
“That’s all I get… bye?”
“Oh, right. I love you Teddy.”
“I love you too Ayerplane.”

oh my goodness. wow. I was going through the songs on my ipod & I came across Chris Ayer's songs & remembered your story. THEN IT TOTALLY CLICKED! you made her brother Chris Ayer! haha! and used on of his actual songs. wow. I'm slow. hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! I LOVE Chris Ayer's music! good choice, my dear!  Jenny |

^^i wondered if anyone had ever heard of his stuff. he's pretty much amazing, and one of the nicest guys i've ever met. i put him in there so people would read some of his stuff and maybe start listening to him because he really is amazing. when i met him for the first time he was sooo nice. hugged me a zillion times, called my sister because she couldn't come to meet him, told me how much he loved me... haha great times with that boy... great times. =] oh and i havent had much time to work on this story, i've only got a few paragraphs written for the next chapter, but i'll work on it in my free time and hopefully will have the new chapter up by this weekend. thanks for reading =] and if you haven't already, check out chris ayer's music www.myspace.com/chrisayer |

so i'm gonna work on finishing the next chapter today b/c i dont have any classes today or tomorrow. so hopefully it'll be finished by tonight and then i can post it. if not tonight then it will def. be up tomorrow. =]
