Ok... so I'm bored so I wrote more. I hope you guys like it!!
"What I want to know is," Teddy began as I manuevered my vehicle through traffic. "How you convinced Corey to let you come to the city with me... alone."
"I told him exactly what I told you." I shrugged as the next song on my cd began playing. "Ahh. I love this song." I began singing along. "... And while sitting on this cold kitchen floor, head down to hide the tears I've realized, I've finally realized, that you were never.. you were never meant for me..."
"Who is this?" He asked curiously.
"Daphne Loves Derby."
"They're good." He stated. "I like the guy's voice, its... different in a way."
"I think its kind of nasal, but its not like, third grade boy who hasn't hit puberty yet trying to sing like Jesse McCartney, who is, by the way dating my best friend."
"Oh, so I'm not the only famous guy you know?" He asked.
"Not really. I also know Matt Ballinger from Dream Street. Regan's dating him. She stalked him for no lie, like a year after Jess and Tiff started dating." I laughed at the childness of it.
"Thats cool." He sounded a little freaked out. "Remind me not to stand alone near Regan ever again."
I laughed. "So where is this place?"
"Oh yeah. You can park over here," He gestured towards a spot. "And we'll have to walk a block, but its not too bad."
"And what are you doing here?"
"Promotional stuff." He answered shortly as we got out of the vehicle and unbuckled the carrier. "I'm picking out the poster thats going to be for sale on my website and at concerts, and the album cover and stuff like that."
I nodded. "And you need a second opinion." He nodded in agreement.
"Plus I don't like the idea of my face being on a huge poster, so I need somebody to help me pick out an extra awesome looking picture of me, because, believe it or not, at times I look not so photogenic." For some reason this statement reminded me of Seth Cohen from 'The O.C.'
"You? Not photogenic? Of course not!"
"Hey..." He joked as he opened the door to the building and let me walk in first.
- - - - - - - - - -
Six hours, a pizza, and tons of traffic later, I was back at my house, all alone this time. No Cohen, no Corey, no body. I wasn't home long enough to enjoy it, though. Tiffany had called me on my cell phone to tell me about this party she was at and that I should join her since Corey was also there, with Danielle Charles, the head cheerleader.
"They make a cute couple if you think about it." Tiffany began a few minutes after I had joined her. We had been watching the two of them together. "Kind of cliche, but cute. They match."
Their hips were grinding and tongues were mingling, which was almost enough to make me sick, but I decided that two could play that game. I had invited Teddy along, and I told him no wasn't an option. He needed to meet some new people here.
I grabbed his arm and we began dancing a few feet away from Corey and Danielle, where Corey could see both of us. We imitated almost every move they made, except the kissing. Dancing was just better without the kissing. Dancing wasn't exactly my thing, and I could tell it wasn't Ted's either, but we made it work.
By the end of the night, I was more than tired. I new I probably would get home and crash on my bed without taking my clothes or shoes off.
Tiffany was dropping Teddy off since they lived next door to each other. I said goodbye to them and made my way to my vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the home owner's yard. As I went to open the door, Corey popped out of nowhere.
"Corey, you scared me.."
"What was that?!" He yelled and I looked at him like I didn't know what he was talking about. "Don't play stupid! I saw you in there with him!" He smacked my face, which caused my head to bump into the side of my car since I wasn't expecting it.
"Stop this! I'm so sick of having to walk on eggshells around you!" I yelled back at him and tried to hit him back. I wanted him to know what it felt like. "I never want to see or talk to you again! I hope Danielle loves to be shoved around all the time!"
"Don't you ever hit me back!" He hit me again, but harder this time. He lifted me up and shoved me against the side of the Explorer, and held me there by my neck. I began crying and kicked him in the crotch so he would let go.
He let go, but grabbed my ankle as I tried to get into the driver's seat to drive off. He pulled me down and began kicking me in the ribs. "Stop it..." I tried to yell, but it hurt just to breathe.
"You may think we're through, but just wait." He grinned evilly and walked off as I lay there, trying to muster enough energy to get into the driver's seat.
- - - - - - - - - -
I slowly sat up against the tire on the passenger side of the SUV and wondered how I had ended up way over there. It hurt so bad to breathe that I could hardly catch my breath. It took all my energy to breathe and think at the same time since my head was also in pain. My whole body was actually in pain, I just couldn't feel it in every spot at the same time because it hurt so bad.
I don't know how I did it, but I did get to the driver's seat. No one even heard the commotion we had caused earlier. It was nearing one in the morning and the party was still going full blast. I decided to call my parents and tell them I was staying over at Tiffany's that night and would go to school in the morning from there. I had left clothes over there the other day, which would work for me since I didn't really care what I was wearing as long as it was comfortable.
When I arrived she and Jesse were the only ones awake. They saw my condition and worry instantly showed on their faces. Tiffany put her arm around me, as did Jesse, and they helped me down the stairs to her bedroom and into bed.
- - - - - - - - - -
Tiffany was lucky. She was blessed with a skinny body, great looks, and a caring boyfriend who would never lay a hand on her.
I, on the other hand, had your average shaped body, not too thick and not too thin, and I thought I was a fairly attractive girl, but not like Tiffany. I also had the crappiest boyfriend anyone could ever imagine.
I threw on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt I had left over there, as well as my Hanson hoodie, which was one of the most comfortable things I owned.
Tiffany tried putting a little make up on my face to hide the bruises, but concealer and foundation can only do so much. I put a little mascara on to make myself look natural like usual and then went upstairs to try and eat something.
Teddy was waiting in the kitchen for me, where Tiffany's Mom was fixing a ton of scrambled eggs to feed the army she gave birth to. He had obviously heard about what happened from Tiffany and he carefully pulled me into a hug and I started crying. I didn't know what to do. I was afraid to go to school now, where I would have to face him.
"It's alright baby," He sang to me as I was handed a plate of eggs. I forced them and a glass of apple juice down before we all piled into Tiffany's car to head to school.

Uh-oh... spaghetti-o's... I wrote some more for ya'll... ENJOY!!
All day I felt like everyone had been staring at my bruises, but the truth was that you couldn't even see them unless you were talking to me.
I did my best to avoid Corey, but he hadn't been there all day, so I didn't have to try too hard.
"Hey Avery?" Danielle began as I was on my way to lunch. "I'm sorry that you had to hear about us that way. He told me you guys were all ready broke up, so I believed him and we started dancing. Are you ok? You don't look like you feel too well." If only she knew what she was getting herself into. I nodded and told her I would be ok. "So have you seen Corey anywhere? Everyone I ask says they haven't see him." She wondered.
"I haven't seen him either, and right now I would be perfectly happy knowing he wrecked that d**n beamer his parents bought for him last year." I told her and walked off to join my friends.
"Oh my gosh! Did you guys hear about the wreck that happened last night?" Regan began. "It happened over on the really busy street, Pond I think... yeah. Anyway, the guy was like seventeen or eighteen, and he was drunk. He hit the guard rail and then spun into oncoming traffic and hit a minivan. The people in the minivan are ok, but he had to be taken to the emergency room."
I rolled my eyes. "I seriously don't understand why people do this to themselves. They know someone will get hurt if they drive drunk, but they do it anyway."
- - - - - - - - - -
After school, I got a message on my phone from Corey's mom. She said that he had been in a wreck last night, was in the hospital, and was asking to see me. I didn't want to go near him. I loved his mom to death, though, so I went for her and brought Teddy with me.
When I arrived I explained to her that Corey and I were no longer together as of last night at the party. I told her the whole story, but left out the part about him beating me.
"Is that a bruise, hunny?" She asked me as she touched my cheek. I winced at the sensation. "Well how did you manage that?"
"Your son." I heard Teddy mumble.
"Oh, who is your friend?" She asked, just realized he was there when he mumbled.
"This is Teddy. He just moved in next door to Tiffany."
"Oh. What was that you said earlier about my son putting that bruise on her?" She asked smartly. "You may have been mumbling, but I have perfect hearing."
"Yeah. Your son did it last night as she was leaving that stupid party, and from what I hear its not exactly the first time he's hurt her." He began to raise his voice.
"Ted..." I whispered, trying to make him calm down, and he walked outside to sit in the main lobby. "Look, maybe we should go... I don't want to cause any trouble."
"Corey's been dying to see you, so can't you just take one little trip in there?" She begged.
I nodded reluctantly and followed her into the room. He had a collapsed lung, a broke leg, and a sprained wrist. He also had two huge gashes above his left eye and a neck brace on.
I assumed he had caused the wreck Regan had been talking about earlier. "Ave.." I heard him whisper.
I didn't say anything back. I touched his arm and then left the room. I knew he deserved it for driving drunk and for what he did to me, but it was still sad. I had wished that something bad would happen to him, and now it had, which made me feel even worse. Teddy and I left, but not before Corey's mother slipped me a note that had 'I believe you' scribbled on it.
- - - - - - - - - -
"Are you ok?" Teddy asked me as I dropped him off before heading home.
"I wished that something bad would happen to him to put him in his place..." I paused. "I caused this. Everything is always my fault!" I punched the steering wheel, causing the horn to honk.
"Avery," He began. "Nothing is your fault. He was drunk. He's a girlfriend beater who deserves to be hurt himself. Do you understand? You didn't do anything wrong, ok?" He held my face between his hands like he had the other day and rested his forehead against mine. He tucked my shoulder length brown hair behind my ears.
"Everything is gonna be alright..." he sang, which made me smile. I loved that song. He traced the outlines of the bruises on my face. "Do you care if I see the ones on your ribs?" He asked curiously and I lifted my shirt up just enough to show him the dark blue and purple continents on either side of my chest. He touched them gently. "I'm so sorry. Let me kiss it and make it all better..." He said in a little kid's voice, which reminded me of Tiffany's little brothers, and I laughed as he proceeded to kiss my bruises.
I twirled his hair around my fingers. "Thank you..."
"For what?"
"Everything." I smiled and kissed his cheek and then rested my head on his shoulder. I could feel his warm breath travelling down my neck, which sent chills down me despite the warmth.
"I should probably get inside before my mom thinks I'm going to sleep out here tonight," He smiled. "I'll see you in the morning." I nodded. "Nite." I watched him walk up the walkway and up the steps to the doorway, where he turned around and waved before entering his house.
I'm falling in love with Teddy Geiger.
