YOU ARE SO BEHIND. but yeah just call them alyssa then they'll send you to a home~ Well what can I say? first I was stuck in the 90's with "The Bomb" now I'm stuck on "Hussy". I think I need to watch MTV or something and get familiar with these hip terms you cool young kids are using. hahahaha oh, and take your time with the rest, I'm sure the more we wait the more the anticipation will build up, then the better it will be...=D

I checked out of school sick, so I'm going to try and write some. And I'm on my Spring Break now so maybe I'll be able to post a few chapters over the holidays!

it may seem a little cheesy, but w/e. this is chapter 7:
Chapter 7
After dropping Jamie back off at her place and hanging there for a good hour or two, I headed back to my place. I noticed Teddy’s car was in the driveway. What did he want now? I knew I needed to talk to him about what all had happened, but I didn’t really want to at this moment. I was too mad.
“This should be interesting,” I sighed as I got out of my brand new Pilot and headed up towards my mom’s house.
Opening the front door I saw Teddy standing on the other side. He didn’t feel like going and waiting in the living room. He just HAD to greet me right as I opened the front door.
“What do you want?” I scoffed as I pushed past Teddy.
“Don’t do this now. You know you regret what you said earlier at the restaurant. I know I regret what I did earlier,” Teddy said as he reached out and grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him.
“Stop it Ted. I don’t want to talk about this right now. I’m too upset. If I think about it anymore who KNOWS what I may do. Besides, I’m pregnant and don’t need to be stressed or upset about anything…got it?”
“Will you at least sit down and talk to me? You just came in at the wrong time.”
“No, I came in at the right time! Maybe I do regret what I said, but I don’t know if I can take you back after seeing that. It would take some SERIOUS thinking…and you would have to do some serious making up for that.”
“I think I’m on my way to making up for it.”
“And why do you think that? You haven’t done anything.”
“Follow me,” Teddy said as he took hold of my hand and led me up the stairs in the direction of my bedroom.
-When It Comes-
“What does my bedroom have to do with this? This isn’t making up for anything Ted. I see my room every night,” I sighed as I stood at my closed bedroom door. “There isn’t going to be anything surprising on the other side.”
“See for yourself,” Teddy shrugged as he opened my bedroom door.
“Oh…my…word!” I screamed as I saw a bundle of baby clothes placed in a basket that was sitting on my bed. “Did you do this?”
“No…but I did,” I heard Alyssa’s voice say. Alyssa walked out of my bathroom. “I felt bad so I had to do something. Ted got you and the little one something, but it’s across the hall.”
“Lys…thanks so much,” I said as I hugged Alyssa.
“I only hope you can forgive me.”
“Of course I can forgive you. Lys, you’re one of my BESTEST friends in the whole wide world. I love you.”
“Love you too…sis,” Alyssa laughed as we separated from our hug. “I’m digging the baby bump. It’s nice,” she laughed again as she put her hand on my stomach.
“Thanks,” I said as I giggled lightly. “Now Theodore, I want to see what you got me! It cannot be better than the car!”
“Follow me. It’s actually more than one thing. And I hope you like everything,” Teddy said as he opened the guest bedroom, which was now being turned into Landon Kate’s room.
The door opened and there sat a crib in the middle of the room. It was one of the prettiest cribs I had ever seen in my life. It was just the crib I wanted to get for Landon Kate. Next to the crib I noticed something that made me cry, a picture frame that said ‘Mommy and Daddy’s little angel’ with a picture of me and Teddy on the inside.
“Aw…I think I’m going to cry,” I said as I hugged Teddy tightly.
“There is one more surprise,” Teddy said as he broke away from the hug and headed to the other side of the crib.
“What is it now? I don’t know how much more I can take.”
“I know you’ve always wanted one of these…so I gave in and am giving you one of my old ones,” Teddy said as he returned to my side with a guitar in hand. “I know it’s not a left-handed guitar, but I can teach you to play it like me…with your right hand.”
“I love it,” I said as I kissed Teddy’s cheek. “Thank you so much. I don’t know how I can ever repay you for everything nice you’ve given me today.”
“I’m not asking for any money or any special gift. I just want you to forgive me for what happened earlier.”
“And me too,” Alyssa spoke up as she appeared in the doorway. “I’m sorry for everything. I didn’t mean to cause that much ruckus.”
“After this how could I not forgive you?” I said with a smile as Teddy kissed me. “And don’t sweat it Lys, I forgive you too. Matter of fact I just made up my mind about something.”
“What is it?” Alyssa said.
“I want you and Jamie, yes both of you, to be little Landon Kate’s godmothers. Her godmother couldn’t and won’t be anyone else!”
“Aw…thanks so much Kourt. You don’t know how much this means to me. And I’m sure Jamie will feel the same,” Alyssa said as we exchanged yet another hug.
-When It Comes-
After admiring my guitar, the crib, and the baby’s clothes, I had returned back downstairs to the living room where I was now waving at Alyssa who was getting ready to walk out the front door.
“See you later,” Alyssa waved as she opened the door and walked out.
“I am so glad she came over so we could make up…same for you,” I said to Teddy as I sat down on the couch.
“I still feel REALLY bad for what I did though. Even though I’ve done this I still feel like I haven’t made up for what I did. You know I really didn’t mean to go through with what happened earlier…right?” Teddy questioned.
“I know. It was just a spur of the moment thing, I’m assuming.”
“I guess you could say that, yes. I just want you to know that I still love you and don’t want us to be broken up. You really didn’t mean that we were over, did you?”
“No, of course I didn’t mean it. Don’t forget I’m pregnant, a little moody, and may say some things that I don’t really mean. It’s all part of the mood swings and stuff.”
“Right…I guess I need to get used to that then, since I’m sure there is more of that to come. Am I right?”
“Aren’t you always right?” I laughed as I walked, more like waddled, over to Teddy.
“Most of the time,” he replied with a small laugh as he kissed my cheek. “You have a cute little waddle.”
“Oh…shut up!” I said as I continued laughing and started out the door. “I’m going to take a bath. I will talk to you whenever I get out.”
“Sure thing,” Teddy laughed as I headed back into my bedroom.
-When It Comes-
As I sat in the bathroom taking my bath, I could hear Teddy playing his guitar out in my bedroom. I was still trying to figure out what song he was singing. I quickly turned off the water and just sat there and listened for a second before continuing on with my bath.
“Caught up in what’s in, caught up in the things that everyone wants. Caught up in what’s out, caught up in the things that you could do without. What if I was one of them? So I will say…if I live for a million years I would be right there to catch your tears. Will you get over it this time or is this the last time?” he sang.
It was his song ‘A Million Years’. This had to be on the top of my list when it came to songs by Teddy. It was definitely one of my favorites.
All of the sudden he stopped playing that song and started on a new one. This one I wasn’t real sure what it was either. I continued to listen closely.
“I talked to my sister in Memphis and told her you were moving to town. Here’s her number. She said she’d be glad to show you around. I left a map on your front seat, just in case you lose your way. But don’t worry, once you reach Sallisaw it’s all interstate. I know you need to go. But before you do, I want you to know that I…” he started to sing.
It was ‘I Wish You’d Stay’ by Braid Paisley. This had to be one of my most favorite country songs ever. And besides, it kind of described the situation we were in…were meaning the past, but no longer in that stage now.
“That I wish you the best, and I wish you nothing less and everything you’ve ever dreamed of. And I hope you that you find love along the way. But most of all, I wish you’d stay,” he finished singing. “I figured right about sundown you’d be in West Tennessee. By then maybe I’ll understand why you had to leave. Well I know that you’ve done some changing, and I know there’s no change in your mind. Yes, I know we’ve been through this a thousand times. I’m sorry for still holding on. I’ll try to let go and I’ll try to be strong. And I wish you the best, and I wish you nothing and everything you’ve ever dreamed of. And I hope you find love along the way. But most of all, I wish you’d stay,” he sang again as he went into the instrumental part of the song.
I still listened, tears slowly rolling down my cheek.
“Yes, everything you’ve ever dreamed of and I hope you that you find love along the way. But most of all, I wish you’d stay,” he said ending the song with the last few notes on the guitar.
After he quit playing that particular song, I dried up my tears and got out of the bathtub. I had gotten a good enough bath. Now I needed to go out and talk to Teddy about how he really felt with us…and the baby.
-When It Comes-
“That was a nice song,” I said as I walked into my room and found Teddy seated on my bed writing some song. “It’s one of my favorites.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” Teddy said without looking up at me.
“Is there something you want to talk about or something? You don’t look too happy. Do you wish we were broken up or something?”
“No…of course not, I would never wish that. I would be the stupidest person if I wished something like that.”
“You just look upset.”
“Of course I’m upset, about what happened earlier. I feel like I didn’t do enough to makeup for what I did. What I did was the worst thing that could’ve ever happened to us.”
“Don’t worry about it. I forgive you and Alyssa both. People just make stupid mistakes. You had better be glad me and Alyssa are good friends because if we weren’t then we may have been broken up.”
“Come here for a second,” Teddy said as he motioned for me to come and sit on the bed next to him.
“Okay!” I said with a smile as I walked over and sat on my bed. “What is it? How’s this song coming? Is it a good one?”
“It’s a good song, but that’s not why I called you over here.”
“Well, why’d you call me over here?”
“For this,” Teddy said with a laugh as he kissed my cheek. “You don’t know how much I love you right now.”
“I think I know. Since you kind of sang two songs for me, I’m going to kind of sing two songs for you…hang on,” I said as I got up and headed over to my computer. “I’m going to have to use the music since I don’t know how to play the songs on guitar.”
“That’s fine,” Teddy laughed as I sat at the computer looking through my song lists for the two songs.
-When It Comes-
After three or four minutes of searching through all of my songs, I finally found the first one.
“Ready?” I said as I got ready to press the play button on the media player.
“Sure…why not?” Teddy shrugged as I quickly hit play and spun around in the chair so I could be facing Teddy whenever I sang the song.
“You got me; I got you. We got somethin’ steady and true; it’s a good, good lovin’. Back roads boy, bright-eyed girl with our own little piece of the world; it’s a good, good lovin’…yeah it is. Give me that sweet, sweet surrender for as long as I can remember. It’s been the real thing; we ain’t pretenders. Yeah it’s your something. Ooh baby that good, good lovin’,” I sang with a smile and a few laughs as Teddy sat looking at me, about ready to bust out laughing.
He laughed very briefly before it was time for me to start again.
“Rooster crows, up with the sun, come home running when the day is done for the good, good lovin’. Front porch swing, starry night, doing our thing and doin’ it right. It’s a good, good lovin’…yeah, it is. Give me that sweet, sweet surrender…January to December. Baby it’s the real thing we ain’t pretenders. It’s next to nothing. Ooh baby that good, good lovin’.”
Once again I let out a small laugh and Teddy followed my laugh. At least I now knew he wasn’t taking me seriously.
“Time for bed, steal another kiss…ain’t no feeling better than this. It’s a good, good lovin’. Close my eyes, start to pray, ask the Lord for one more day of the good, good lovin’…cause it is. That sweet, sweet surrender…January through December. Yeah it’s the real thing, we ain’t pretenders. Yeah it’s your something…oh it’s next to nothin’. Ooh baby, that good, good lovin’. Yeah…good, good lovin’.”
“Bravo!” Teddy said with a laugh as he clapped. “That was nice. I liked it.”
“You laughed the whole time…loser!” I laughed as I turned back around and made sure the song was finished. “Do you want to hear the next one or not?”
“Let’s just go watch a movie or something…okay?”
“How about we go to sleep? I’m a little tired from today. Today has been one hectic day. I don’t know how much more of this I can possibly take.”
“Alright then…let’s go to sleep. Is your mom coming home tonight?”
“Yeah, she should be home in like ten minutes or something like that. I’ll send her a text and make sure she locks the door.”
“Alright…fine with me,” Teddy said as he pulled back the covers.
