that's pretty cool! i didn't really notice the name until i was watching the OC finale and they said Ryan's last name. i was like "omg, i love that name!" plus...i'm all about being different with names. lol.

I think I'm going to write more today. Maybe it'll be posted before the day is over. But I'd really like just a few more comments. It would be nice.

I'm writing more. This chapter is going to be a little longer because I have some drama taking place...BIG time drama. It could change the outcome of this story. But I cannot tell you too much. You'll just have to wait until I post the chapter to find out what happens!

Chapter 6

The next morning came and I woke up to find that Teddy wasn’t in my room anymore. My bedroom door was wide open and I could hear some kind of commotion downstairs in the kitchen. From sitting in my bed, I listened and somehow figured out that Teddy must be attempting to cook breakfast.

“Ouch,” I heard Teddy yell.

“This should be interesting,” I said with a laugh as I got out of bed and headed for the door. I needed to go downstairs and get a first hand look at what was exactly going on.

-When It Comes-

“Good morning Prince Charming,” I said as I walked into the kitchen and found Teddy attempting to take the biscuits out of the oven.

“Holy…WOW…that is a hot pan,” Teddy said as his hands jerked away from the oven.

“Having trouble? It isn’t that hard to take biscuits out of the oven.”

“I know it isn’t hard, but it sucks when you burn your hand on the oven.”

“I know. I’m sorry. Would you like me to kiss it and make it better?”

“I don’t think that would be much help, but I’m sure a band-aid would work just fine…thanks.”

“You’re welcome?” I said as I headed to the bathroom to find the band-aids. “Oh wait; do you want the Dora band-aids or the Sesame Street band-aids?” I asked as I turned back around to face Teddy.

“Sesame Street will be great.”

“Be right back!” I said as I continued my way on to the bathroom.

-When It Comes-
-Teddy’s POV-

Kourtni was up in her room showering, and I had just walked back into the house from being outside. I had to go outside because a little special something was being brought to Kourtni’s house. It was a gift to her from my record company, my family, and me as well. Right now I was talking to Alyssa, for the first time in a while, letting her in on the little surprise.

“I am scared she may pass out when she walks out the front door Ted. That wouldn’t be good, especially since she’s supposed to go the doctor’s office today!” Alyssa somewhat laughed on her end of the phone.

“I am so glad we can finally get back to talking without yelling at each other. I hated not talking to my best friend,” I simply replied.

“I know. It isn’t the best feeling. Now I just wish that Kourtni and I would start talking more often.”

“But I thought ya’ll had been talking?”

“Not really…” Alyssa said.

“Oh, well, I don’t know what to say.”

“It’s okay. One of these days I’m going to pick up the phone and call her just so we can chat.”

“Yeah, just be the bigger person. She obviously doesn’t want to be.”

“TEDDY GEIGER, how DARE you talk about your girlfriend like that? I cannot believe I just heard you say that about her!”

“It’s obviously true.”

“You can be such a meanie sometimes.”

“Well, this meanie wants to meet you for dinner tonight. Would that be okay with you?”

“That would be perfectly fine with me, just as long as Kourtni knows about it.”

“I promise I will tell her about it.”

“You had better tell her or else! Where are we going to go? Where do I need to meet you at?”

“Hm…I was thinking O’Charleys.”

“Sounds great to me, I will be there around…”

“Seven. Be there around seven. I have to go. She’s coming back down here now. Bye,” I said quickly as I hung up my phone before Kourtni entered the room and could hear the conversation.

-When It Comes-

“Who was that Ted?” I asked Teddy as I walked back into the living room and finding him rushing to put his phone back into his jeans’ pocket.

“It was just a friend that wanted to meet me for dinner tonight,” Teddy quickly replied.

“What time does this friend want to meet you tonight?” I said as I stressed the word friend.

“She wants to meet around seven.”

“Oh, so it’s a she? All I can say is it better not be one of MY friends too. That could potentially cause a problem. IS it one of my friends?”

“Nope, it’s nobody you even know. We’re going to get dinner at O’Charleys if you for some reason have to show up.”

“Gee…thanks,” I scoffed as I turned and walked out of the living room.

-When It Comes-

It was now time for Teddy and me to leave my house and head over to my doctor’s appointment. I opened the front door to my house and spotted a very unfamiliar Honda Pilot in the driveway. Whose was this? Was it parked in the wrong driveway? I KNEW this wasn’t mine.

“Did you get a new car Teddy?” I questioned as I started down the steps.

“No…but you did,” Teddy said as I stopped in my tracks and felt my mouth drop to the ground.

“What the…from who?”

“It is from my record company, family, and me. We all chipped in and got you a newer car for whenever the baby comes.”

“Your record company actually did something nice for you?”

“Surprisingly…yeah, they did. I wasn’t expecting it until I got a phone call like a week ago. It was kind of random, but I agreed to it.”

“What year is it?”

“It’s a 2006.”

“WHAT? I don’t deserve that new of a car.”

“Yes you do. You really deserve a 2007, but that’s the one we ended up agreeing on.”

“Wow, I absolutely love it. Should we drive it today?”

“It’s your car so I don’t care. I will leave that decision up to you.”

“We’re taking it!” I said as Teddy handed me the keys. “Thanks,” I said as I attempted to run towards the car.

-When It Comes-

We had been at the doctor’s office for nearly twenty minutes. After waiting for about five, we were called to the back of the office. At the moment we were waiting for the doctor to tell us what we were having. The nerves were getting worse by the minute.

“Are you guys SURE you want to know?” my doctor asked.

Teddy and I both nodded. I think we were both so nervous we couldn’t say anything.

“Well…you two are going to be having a little,” she started to say. “Just watch the screen. You will see a message in a minute.”

I looked at Teddy and smiled.

“Hi mommy and daddy,” Teddy read from off the screen. “This is your little girl talking to you. I can’t wait to meet you,” Teddy continued reading.

“Congratulations. You two are having a little girl,” my doctor said.

“I think I’m going to cry,” I said as I felt the tears well up in my eyes.

“I cannot believe it! I cannot believe we are having a little girl. My mom is going to be THRILLED to find out that she is having a granddaughter,” Teddy said excitedly.

“Same with mine,” I replied as the doctor finished up the last minute things that had to be done in the appointment. “So, are we free to go?”

“You are free to go,” she said with a smile as I pulled my shirt down and sat up straight on the little examination table.

-When It Comes-

Before we even reached my car, I was already on the phone calling people…and so was Teddy. I decided to call my mom first, and Teddy was busy calling his family and letting them know.

“Hello,” my mom answered.

“Mom…it’s a girl!” I said in a VERY excited voice.

“That is awesome. Congratulations!”

“Thanks mom. Well, I need to go. There are a million more people that I need to call!”

“Alright sweetie, be safe. Bye,” my mom said as she hung up the phone.

-When It Comes-

The evening came faster than I expected. Teddy had left twenty minutes earlier to go on his dinner date with some mysterious ‘friend’ of his, while I sat at home doing nothing. I figured I would call and talk to Jamie and let her know the good news about the baby, since I didn’t get her earlier.

“Hello,” Jamie answered after about the third ring.

“Guess what?” I said excitedly.

“What? What is it?”

“We are going to be having a little Landon Kate!”

“Aw, it’s a girl! That is so awesome to hear Kourtni. I got your message just a minute ago or else I would’ve called you back before now.”

“It’s okay. I was occupied until twenty minutes ago when Teddy left to go out on some stupid dinner date with a friend, whom I apparently don’t know.”

“Oh, you know her alright.”

“Is it you Jamie?”

“No, but it’s our other friend…the other member of our little clique.”

“Alyssa?”

“Yeah, it’s her. And you will NEVER believe what she told me earlier. She says she thinks she is starting to fall for him again.”

“OH no…this little date is NOT going to happen. Be at my house in five. We’re going down to that restaurant to CRASH this little party.”

“What should I wear?”

“I don’t care! You can wear whatever you want. I’m wearing jeans and a t-shirt.”

“Alright…be there in five,” Jamie said as she quickly hung up the phone.

I was beyond furious to find out that Teddy was on a dinner ‘date’ with Alyssa. It didn’t bother me that it was Alyssa; it just bothered me that Teddy lied to me about the date. He said he was going with someone I had never met before, and that was FAR from the truth.

-When It Comes-

Jamie and I arrived at the restaurant and sure enough I spotted Teddy and Alyssa dining together, but what had me so upset is that Teddy was leaning in and kissing Alyssa. Was he REALLY doing this to me? Most importantly, was SHE doing this to me? I couldn’t believe it.

“Um…Kourtni?” Teddy said in a shocked voice as Jamie and I approached the table.

“Oh yeah…I sure don’t know her,” I said pointing to Alyssa. “Are you SERIOUSLY doing this to me right now Ted?”

“Doing what?”

“Teddy, you are cheating on me…literally! I saw the two of you making out when I was walking inside this place. I cannot believe you would do something like this to me.”

“It’s all his fault,” Alyssa said.

“Oh butt out Alyssa…I know this was just as much your fault as it was his. Jamie told me what you told her about liking him again. Well you know what as far as I’m concerned, at this point in time…you can HAVE him. Teddy…we’re done,” I said as I turned around and stormed out of the restaurant.

Did I really just do that? Did I REALLY just break up with Teddy? I couldn’t believe I did that. Now he was REALLY going to leave me for Alyssa, which wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted to be with him because I loved him and wanted him to be in our little girl’s life, but after that I think it’s safe to say that I royally screwed up.
