sorry guys!
i've been soooo busy with school and stufff, barely had any time to come on here, but i'm back and better than ever. LOLLL

"Hey, um, it's Haylie. I really think we should talk a bit..because..we haven't for a while, so um, when you get this message..call me back or something. Thank youuu.." I sighed into my phone, voicemail again.

"I'm so sorry about the whole thing.." Teddy sighed and gave me a hug

I nodded just as my phone rang, I checked the screen, Louis. "Hi!"

"Hey," he mumbled, I could tell immediately he was uncomfortable. "So, you wanted to talk?"

I nodded, though he couldn't see me "Yeah, are you busy..like, right now?"

"Uhh..not that I know of...where are you right now?"

I looked around and laughed at myself. "Starbucks under my apartment.."

I looked at Teddy who looked at me with his eyes wide open "Louis?" he mouthed

I nodded before returning my attention to Louis "Yeah, Starbucks.."

"Alright, i'll be there in a bit?"

I nodded "Okay, see you,"

"bye.."

Teddy smiled at me, "I think I should go now, right?"

I shrugged "You really don't have to..I mean, if you want to you can, but i'm sort of scared to sit here alone.." I laughed at myself for being so childish.

He nodded "Alright, i'll stay..but if you see him, let me know and i'll go hide.."

I looked up and stared at Louis, "Too late.." I whispered.



"Do you really like Teddy?"

I shrugged, "I don't know, he's like my best friend..Louis, don't be like this.."

He moved in towards me and gave me a hug "I know why you left Teddy like, a year ago.."

I stared at him, no one really knew, except me and Teddy, I hadn't told anyone, not even Erin..I think. "..uh..alright.."

"It was because you wanted him to pursue his dreams, you didn't want to be in his way of everything he ever wanted.."

I nodded and tried to hold back the tears, he reminded me of all the pain I had to do to let go, everyone that tells you it's something easy to do, are lying.

"And..I think I should do the same to you, i'm going to love you forever, but i'm never going to be able to replace Teddy.."

Louis nodded and walked towards the door, my knees suddenly felt extremely weak and I ended up on the floor somehow with Teddy rushing over to me.
"Shh.." he whispered "Everything is going to be alright.."
I have never felt as bad as the moment that Louis walked out since Teddy left a year ago, it was like..someone jabbed another knife into my heart and left it there as a memory.

Teddy kept his arms around me while I felt the burning tears fall from my eyes. I felt like the worst person in the world.

My phone rang, and I turned over to look at the clock, it was 2:30 in the morning. Oh boy.

"Hello?"


"Haylie, it's Mrs. Matthews.." I noticed the urge in her voice, and the panic.

"Oh, hey.." I sat up on my bed "Is everything alright?"

She started crying and slowly told me what was wrong, Louis was in the hospital, they found him on the floor of his kitchen. blacked-out.

I felt the tears coming, the waterworks. "Alright, i'll be there soon.."

I grabbed my jacket and ran out of the door, furiously dailing Teddy's number.




I immediately found the room that Louis was laying in.
his eyes were shut tight and he looked really tired.
I felt tears rushing to my eyes, it hurt me so badly in the inside that someone I love was suffering and was on the borderline of death.

"He has cancer.." Mrs. Matthews mumbled next to me.

I held in my breathe. I knew it, he reminded me oh so much of somebody, somebody like me.

I felt his hand squeeze mine as my eyes were still shut, but they immediately opened at the movement from Louis.
I opened my eyes and look at him.
He laughed at me, a weak chuckle. I held in my breath and tried not to start crying.

"Hey.." he smiled

"Hi..how are you doing?" I tried to smile back

"Eh, probably better if a million wires and such weren't connected to me.."

I smiled, even at a time like this he could still be happy.

"This is why you broke up with me, isn't it.." I mumbled, hoping he wouldn't hear me

"Haylie..shhh..I would just rather you forget about me then than now.."

I shook my head "No, i'm never going to forget about you. Forgetting people you love is hard. Too hard."

He smiled "Like Teddy. Then why did you try to make Teddy leave you?"

I breathed in, he was right. I was just like him, I was a hypocrite.

"Your first love was Teddy, it will always be Teddy. Forever and always.."
