"Ted, I'm about to have a baby in like two weeks and you're letting them just change your schedule?!" I was beyond mad at this point. First it was, 'I'll see you in a month', then it was 'Two more months and that's it', and now it's 'I'll be home in two more months'. Yeah, I was beyond mad.
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry isn't good enough, Ted," I shot back at him angrily. "I could have your baby at any minute and you won't be here for it."
"Baby, I'm sorry. There's all these meetings and radio interviews and tv shows..." He said, letting out a sigh at the end. "There's so much pressure that I could burst at any moment."
"You're twenty years old, Ted."
"I know," He sighed. "I'll talk to them."
"Ok." I whispered as I started to feel a little discomfort, but I wasn't worried. "I'll talk to you later."
"Ok. I love you."
"Love you." I told him as we hung up and I tossed the phone aside like it was a piece of paper.

"Abby!" I called up the stairs. "I'm not feeling too good, I think I should go to the doctor."
She came charging down the stairs, ready to go and didn't say a word. She drove faster than I had ever seen anyone drive while talking on a cell phone, but for some reason, I wasn't worried. I couldn't even focus on what she was doing because of the pain.
"Ted, she's having the baby." I heard her say. "I don't know, probably sometime tonight or early in the morning."
She hung up the phone soon and gave me a look. "Almost there." She said as we pulled into the hospital and made our way to the maternity ward.

Everyone was there except for Teddy. "Where's Teddy?" I asked
everyone and none of them could tell me.
"It'll be ok," Abby told me. "I'm sure he's doing his best to get here."
I nodded as the doctor came in and smiled at me. "We're not quite ready just yet. Just a few more centimeters, though. You'll probably deliver sometime tomorrow morning."
I groaned as I realized just how long I would have to wait there. I hoped eight hours would be long enough for Teddy to get here.
++++++++++++++++++++
"Ok Reese, we're going to move you to the delivery room now," The doctor smiled at me and I nodded as a few nurses began pushing my bed out into the hall.
I heard heavy footsteps running in our direction as several employees told the person to slow down.
"TED!" I heard Lindsey yell. "Thank God! I'm glad I don't have to go in there and see more of her than I ever want to!"
He chuckled a little bit as he rubbed his eyes. He looked tired. "Hey baby," he touched my cheek and I smiled at him as we began to roll again and the doctor instructed him to change into scrubs.
"Doctor Theodore," I laughed when he came into the room and everything began.

Anna Bailey was born at six in the morning, where her parents' closest family and friends were waiting to see her. Six pounds of nothing but lungs that Teddy would no doubt be extremely proud of.
"Listen to that voice," Teddy laughed.
"That's right, because we'll both be waking up to it everyday." I laughed as she let out a big yawn and then stared at the two of us after everyone had gone home for the night.
"I love you," he said as he rested his head against mine.
"I love you."
++++++++++++++++++++
"It's your turn," I nudged Teddy as Bailey began to cry.
"But it's so cold," He groaned.
"And I did it two hours ago," I told him. "Please? I'll get up the next two times."
"Ok.." He sighed as he got up and walked to the crib. "Hey pretty baby. What's the matter? Are you hungry?" He carried her to the kitchen to warm up a bottle, and came back singing. "Fathers be good to your daughters, daughters will love like you do, Girls become lovers, who turn into Mothers, so Mothers be good to your daughters too," She finished the bottle and he burped her before climbing back into bed next to me.
"Thank you." I whispered.
He kissed my cheek. "It was my pleasure."
Soon, we all drifted off to sleep, only to be greeted by the lovely Delilah the next morning. I bet she has cookies.
"I'm sorry."
