Very very short update..I consider it..part one of chapter three LOL =P But I hope you guys like it as much as I do =]]
Part one of chapter 3:
I found Teddy sitting down on the same bench we were sitting on last night. He didn't see me, of course.
I walked up in front of him and dropped the present on his lap. I turned away and started to leave. He grabbed my hand.
"Haylie...forgive me?" he asked, he seemed really tired, I guess he was up all night..
"Maybe, I'll think about it, but first you have to go home, and take a looonnnnggg nap, because we don't want you to get sick. But for now, i'm going home, I'll see you later."
He didn't let go of my hand. "I'll walk you home," he got up off the bench. I combed his hair out of his face and he gave me a quick smile and looked down at the floor.
"Thanks for taking me home, Teddy.." I rang the doorbell to my house. Hurry up, Matt, I thought.
It was starting to get really cold outside and all I had on was a tee, jeans and a hoodie. Finally my brother opened the door, he was surprised to see me
"Where did you go" he raised his eyebrow
"Out."
"Whatever." he turned back into the house
"So um, yeah, thanks for the present..and I hope you'll like yours."
Teddy pulled my hand towards him and hugged me tightly. It was so warm next to his hoodie.
I don't know how long we were hugging for but I heard my brother yell "CLOSE THE DOOR, YOU'RE LETTING THE WARM OUT AND COLD IN!"
"Haha, I'm sorry Teddy, I should go now.." I pulled away and he nodded.
I went inside and Teddy started walking home.
"Hey, did you invite Ted to our Christmas dinner tonight?" my mom had asked me "I told his mom but I think you should personally invite him." she added
"Is Erin invited?"
"Yeah, I told her parents, your dad is coming too."
"'Kay!" I yelled as I ran back outside.
Teddy was half a block infont of me, I wasn't going to be fast enough if I walk so I started to run.
I had almost caught up to Teddy when I tripped on my jeans and landed on the snowy sidewalk. Teddy turned around and saw me covered in snow and he laughed and walked up to me.
"Isn't it a little cold to be playing in the snow dressed like that?" he laughed and stuck out a hand towards me.
I grabbed his hand and he helped pull me up. "Maybe I like playing in the snow in my jeans!"
"Or are you a stalker undercover?" he kept laughing.
"Maybe. Then you'd better be careful...anyways..I was wondering if you wanted to come to my house tonight for dinner. My mom had told your mom but It's beter if I invited you personally."
"Well, if my mom is going, then I'll probably go..Erin is going, right?"
"'course."
he nodded and we stood in silence for a little bit.
"Well, I'm going to go home now, or else i'm going to get sick." I laughed
"Well then, I guess me and you have to take steaming hot 30 minute showers and take a nice loooonnnggg nap?"
"Maybe...well, see you tonight." I ran back to my house as fast as I could because my clothes were getting really gross and soggy.
Did..I just have a civilized conversation with Teddy without wanting to punch him in the face? I wanted to forgive him, but a part of me didn't want to...
