OK... So this is my new story.. hehe. I just can't saty away from them. LOL. So check it out and let me know what you think!
---------------
I paid for our two pizzas and then quietly closed the door and locked it as I made my way to the kitchen to relieve myself of the two cardboard boxes. I smiled to myself as I heard the loud sounds of different pieces of music playing back in the basement.
I quietly walked down the carpeted stairs and paused at the bottom as I watch him run his fingers through his hair in frustration. He was so cute when he was frustrated. I walked closer, not trying to be quiet since he was now wearing headphones. The sound of his piano could be heard coming out of the speakers.
I put my hand on his shoulder and he jumped slightly, not expecting me to be there. He took the headphones off and sat them lightly on the table as I ran my fingers through the back of his hair.
“Pizza’s here.” I informed him as I kissed his neck.
“Hmmm. Maybe we should let the pizzas cool down first and continue this… this event you seem to have started here.” He suggested and I giggled.
“No. I’m actually pretty hungry right now. So it would probably be best if we head upstairs,” I smiled to myself as I walked off, despite his child-like complaint.
It wasn’t very long ago that I could barely stand the sight of him. He made me so angry that I just wanted to push him off a giant cliff where I would never have to hear his voice or see his face ever again. I wasn’t a very angry teenager, but he really knew just how to push my buttons back then.

“Oh June!” She called into my bedroom as she climbed the stairs that led up to my room, which was conveniently placed away from everyone else’s rooms.
“Oh Ashlyn!” I called back in the very same tone as I finished straightening my hair. She burst through the doors dramatically and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“I’m here! No autographs, please!” She laughed before plopping down on my bed and hung her head off the edge, upside down. “So are you ready to go? I’m starving!”
Every Friday night, she and I met up with our friend Jason and got us something to eat. I rolled my eyes. “You’re always hungry. You’re, like, four feet tall and eighty pounds… but yet, you eat like a pig.”
“I’m almost five feet, thank you! And I weigh ninety pounds!” She stuck her tongue out at me as we climbed into my black Jeep Wrangler.
“So what is Landon up to tonight?” I asked curiously. “He’s not sneaking around again is he?”
“He never snuck around on me!” She said, astonished that I would say something like that about not-so-perfect Landon.
“Right, and Carly James was just a figment of everyone’s imagination.” I rolled my eyes. “The whole time she’s been holding you up in those… pyramid things she hasn’t really been there. She’s the invisible woman.”
“Ok, ok.” Ashlyn stopped me. “So he did sneak around a little, but nothing happened. Everything’s good now.”
Ashlyn was a cheerleader for our school, who was always somewhat of an outsider with them, even though she was way better than all the rest. Carly hated her for the most part, simply because when Landon moved to our school, the only girl he had interest in was Ash.
“It’s six o’ clock. Do you know where your boyfriend is?” I asked in a goofy television voice and she rolled her eyes as we pulled into Taco Bell.
“Jason’s not here yet,” She quickly changed the subject as we sat in my Jeep waiting for him to arrive. My phone began to ring.
“Hello?” I asked curiously.
“Hey… It’s Jason.”
“Hey.” I said quickly.
“I’m not going to be able to get there tonight,” He informed me. “I uh… I’m stuck at the mall with my Mom… I swear if she makes me try on one more pair of pleated slacks for that stupid job… I’ll…”
“You’ll what?” I asked curiously and laughed.
“I’ll die my hair purple.” He laughed. He had recently gotten a job answering the phones and working at the front desk at his uncle’s insurance company. Needless to say, he wasn’t too thrilled that he had to wear navy blue slacks and a white polo shirt every day.
“Does that sort of thing fly with Uncle Bill?” I asked curiously and I swore I could hear his eyes roll.
“Sure…”
“Well, I need to get off here before Ash looses one more pound.”
“I’m not anorexic!” She yelled at me and laughed.
“I’ll see you guys later.” He laughed and hung the phone up as we climbed out of my vehicle and headed inside to place our orders.
We took our seats with our tray of food and began talking as we ate.
“So did you see the new dye-job Tasha Stanford got on her hair?” Ashlyn laughed about a fellow cheerleader. “I mean seriously… What would make you want to make your hair look like a skunk died on it?”
I laughed at her and she stuffed her face with a taco.
“Oh! And Amber Talley’s eye make-up today in fourth! Oh man… I thought I was going to need sunglasses to hand her that worksheet.” I laughed and Ash almost shot her soda out her nose.
Her eyes got wide as someone walked in the door. “Ok, so don’t look now, but the object of your undying affection just walked in.”
I turned to look and immediately turned around to throw a nacho at her. “Are you serious? Teddy? I can’t stand that…” I stopped what I was saying. Teddy and I had been really good friends and I had played with him a few times at a few local shows. He had even told me that as soon as he got big I would tour with him. But as soon as the record label met him, they changed everything about him, it seemed.
“Ladies…” He greeted us as he took a seat in the booth across the isle from ours. He looked right at me as if he was checking me out. “June…” He didn’t just say it in any kind of tone. It was that tone that said ‘I’m sorry and I want to talk to you.’ I couldn’t deny it in my mind, but I would to anyone who asked. I couldn’t break my gaze away from him.
“June!” Ashlyn broke my gaze. I looked at her questioningly. “Are you done?”
I looked down at my half-eaten crunchwrap and shook my head as I took the last few bites and washed them down with my Pepsi.
We walked out of the restaurant and I realized I had left my purse sitting in our booth. “I’ll be right back, Ash. I left my purse.” She rolled her eyes and laughed as I walked back into the restaurant.
“Back for seconds?” Teddy joked as I reached to my purse. He was way over-confident sometimes.
“Was that referring to you or the actual food?”
“It can swing both ways… much like your friend Jason.” He joked.
“Just so you know… Jason is much more straight than you’ll ever be… boy band Teddy.” I rolled my eyes and quickly turned to leave him.
“She wants you man,” His friend joked and I looked back to catch a small smirk he had planted on his face.
“Just wait…” He smiled as he took another bite of his food and changed the subject.
