No One Teddy Geiger Fan Fic
Chapter 1
“I’m wandering the streets in a world underneath it all. Nothing seems to be. Nothing tastes as sweet as what I can’t have,” sang the ring tone of my cell phone.
Someone obviously needed to tell me something, or else they wouldn’t have called until noon. It wasn’t normal that I was woken up at nine on a Saturday morning. Who would be calling me? Why would they be calling me? Guess I have no choice but to answer my phone.
“Hello,” I answered as I rubbed my eyes and threw off the covers.
“Kourtni…it’s Jillian,” my best friend, Jillian, said on the other end of the phone.
“What could you possibly be calling me for?”
“Can you meet me at the movies in like an hour and a half?”
“Why? I was going to sleep in until noon, but you had to call…didn’t you?”
“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, didn’t they? Just meet me at the movie theater in an hour and a half. I don’t want to go see Brokeback Mountain by myself.”
“Fine, I will be there at ten-thirty.”
“Good.”
“Bye,” I said closing my phone up.
-No One-
Walking into the movie theater I looked around for Jill, but I couldn’t see her. Instead of looking at her, I was stopped when I saw one of the hottest guys over by the arcade games with some of his friends. Was it just me or did he look a lot like Teddy Geiger?
“I guess you see why I wanted you to meet me here,” Jill said as she stood in front of me.
“You knew hot guys were going to be here? Cute guys are always here. What’s the difference this time?” I asked as I took my ticket from the counter.
“No, I knew Teddy Geiger was going to be here. Someone from school, who is friends with him, called around and the news finally got down to me.”
“Who at our school is his friend? Matter of fact, what is he even doing in Alabama? Alabama is far from New York.”
“I’m sure he realizes Alabama is far away from New York, but it is summertime. He came to visit Zac.”
“Efron?”
“Yes, he came to visit Zac Efron.”
“Interesting,” I said as Jill dragged me over to the refreshment counter.
“Stop staring and let’s get something to eat.”
“Okay.”
-No One-
The movie had ended, and I was in tears. ‘Brokeback Mountain’ was probably the best movie I have ever seen in years. It was so sweet that it even made Jill cry, which never happens.
“Call me when you get ready tonight. We’ll head out to Graham’s party,” I said as Jill and I walked out to the parking lot.
“Okay, I will call you. What are you going to wear?” Jill asked as I stopped at my car.
“I am not quite sure yet. What about you? Hey, do you know if Zac will be there? If he is going to be there then Teddy will be there. Then maybe I can get to talk to him.”
“I don’t know. I am sure Zac will be there. He talks to Graham a lot. I do know he is invited to the party, just like a lot of other people in our school.”
“Oh okay, well…I need to be getting home. Just call me when you are ready and I’ll come pick you up.”
“Got it.”
-No One-
Pulling up into my driveway I noticed there was a moving van down the street. From my driveway I could spot a teenage boy, dressed almost like Teddy was at the movie theater. Could it be Teddy? No, it couldn’t be him. He is only here to visit Zac, not here to move in a house in my neighborhood.
-No One-
“Kourtni…sweetie, come downstairs please. We are going to go meet the new family moving in the neighborhood. I hear they have a teenage boy who will be going to your school this year,” my mom called out from downstairs.
“Coming mom,” I said throwing on my flip flops.
-No One-
“Hi…welcome to the neighborhood,” my mom said as we walked into the new family’s front yard. “My name is Rachel, and I live down the road from you.”
“Hi there,” the mom said turning around to shake my mom’s hand. “Thanks for the welcome.”
“This is my daughter…Kourtni,” my mom said pointing over to me.
“Nice to meet you,” I said shaking the lady’s hand.
“It’s nice to meet you as well,” she replied shaking my hand back. “My son should be out here in a minute. He had to run something inside. I will introduce you to him when he gets out here.”
“Awesome,” I said as I heard the front door open.
“Here he is now,” the woman said as her son walked out towards.
The closer the boy got, the more I started to think he looked like Teddy. Could it be him? It couldn’t be him. Jill had told me he was here just to visit Zac, and that was it.
“Teddy…this is Miss Rachel and her daughter Kourtni. They live down the street from us,” the woman said as her son stood next to her.
“Nice to meet you,” Teddy said shaking my mom’s hand.
By this time, I was so nervous. I had never met Teddy before. Butterflies were starting to take over my stomach. It was as if I was meeting the President or something.
“Hey,” I somewhat waved at Teddy. Hey? Did I really just say that? “I’m Kourtni.”
“Nice to meet you,” Teddy said as we shook hands.
“Mom…I am going to get on home. Graham’s party is tonight, and I need to get ready. I still have to go and get Jillian. It was nice meeting you all. Sorry I have to leave all of the sudden. The party starts at seven, and I still have to shower and everything else. I hope to talk to you soon,” I waved as I turned and started walking back towards my house.
-No One-
As I stood pacing around my room trying to decide what to wear, I heard my cell phone start to ring. Looking down at the caller ID I saw it was Jill. She must be ready. It was about time she called. The party was going to start in twenty minutes. Thankfully Graham’s house wasn’t far from Jill’s.
“Hello,” I answered as I grabbed a skirt and top.
“I am ready. Are you ready?” Jill asked on the other end of the phone.
“Just about…I’m putting my clothes on now,” I replied as I threw the skirt and top on. Hurriedly I bent down and grabbed a pair of flip flops, then slipped them on my feet. “Give me about five minutes and I will be there. Okay?”
“Okay. I will be outside on the front porch.”
“Uh…okay?”
-No One-
Jill and I had just gotten to Graham’s house and were just walking in to where the party was. It looked like a lot of people showed up…including Zac. Standing next to Zac was Teddy. My somewhat of a dream had come true.
“Hey Zac,” Jill and I both said as we walked over to him and gave him a hug.
“Hey Jill and Kourt,” he replied. “I want to introduce you to someone.”
“We met already,” I said.
“And you didn’t tell me?” Jill said as he gave me a funny look.
“I didn’t have time,” I laughed. “You were too busy blabbing about Zac. There wasn’t any room for me to get a word in edgewise.”
“Whatever…come on Zac,” Jill said as he grabbed Zac’s hand. “Let’s go find the birthday boy Graham.”
“You two go ahead. Teddy and I are going back to my house,” I laughed as Zac and Jill walked outside to find Graham. “Come on Teddy.”
“Whatever,” Teddy laughed as he followed me out the front door.
