Chapter 3
Days had passed since Teddy had left and gone back to New York for a few shows. School had ended ten minutes ago and I was on my way to the airport to surprise Teddy. He had said he was going to pick me up, but I was changing the plans.
Before I got to the airport, I had to stop by Melissa's house. She had made something for me to wear when Teddy got off of the plane. I had known about her making something since Tuesday, but she still wouldn't tell me what it was.
I stood on Melissa's front porch and rang the doorbell. Seconds later she opened the door and gave me a huge hug. She had nothing but a smile on her face.
"I think you'll like what I made," Melissa said as she handed me a box. "Open it up."
"Okay," I smiled. I quickly ripped the paper off of it and took out the tissue paper to find a t-shirt with a picture of Teddy and me talking on the bleachers. "Where'd you get that picture?"
"Zac snapped it on his camera phone before practice started. Don't you like it?"
"I love it," I said almost wanting to cry. "I cannot cry now. I am not even at the airport! This is so adorable. I hope Teddy will like it. There must be something else I could get him."
"I know it sounds cheesy, but get him some flowers or get him like a stuffed animal. He seems like the guy who'll take something like that."
"Thanks bunches," I said as I hugged Melissa, then turned to run back to my car.

Walking into Wal-Mart I quickly ran to the toy section. I had to pick out the most adorable stuffed animal for Teddy. He seemed like one to like a teddy bear. I mean his name IS Teddy.
-Confidence-
Upon entering the airport, I looked up to see Teddy's flight was right on schedule. It was landing as I walked in. I quickly ran to the gate so I would be the first person Teddy saw when he got off of the plane.
Finally the doors opened and people started piling off the plane. I immediately spotted Teddy. Seeing him walk off the plane, all by himself, I wanted to cry. Then out of nowhere a tear rolled down the side of my cheek. What was I doing? I couldn't let myself cry in front of Teddy. That would be embarrassing. He would never talk to me again.
"Welcome back," I said running to greet him the minute that he stepped out of the tunnel. "I got you something," I smiled as I held out the teddy bear and wiped a tear off of my cheek. "Hope you like it."
"Wow, thanks a lot. I love the teddy bear," he laughed. "It's very con-" he started to say but stopped when he apparently noticed my shirt. "Where'd you get that picture?"
"Zac snapped it on his camera phone that Monday before his practice. He gave it to my friend Melissa and she made this shirt for me. Do you like it?"
"I love it, but that is an awful picture of me. We need to take a better picture to replace my awful face in that one."
"I happen to think you look just swell in this picture, maybe that's just because I am in the picture," I laughed as Teddy and I headed for baggage claim. "Did you go up there by yourself or something?"
"Oh, my mom flew back home earlier this morning. I stayed behind and hung out with a few of my friends for a while. She's supposed to be outside waiting for me."
"Oh, okay."
"Since you're already here I do not have to go and pick you up. Would you mind if I just rode with you back to my house?"
"That would be fine," I smiled as Teddy put his arm around me and squeezed me tight.
-Confidence-
Teddy opened the door to his house, and motioned for me to go in first. His house was just simply amazing. I was in love with it. Was I in love with it because it was nice or just because Teddy lived in it?
"Teddy...we have to start shooting in twenty minutes," Teddy's mom said the minute he shut the door behind him. "Go to the guest bathroom and start getting ready. You dear," his mom said taking my hand, "will be getting ready in my bathroom. Follow me."
"I'm sorry," Teddy shrugged as I was led off to his mom's bathroom.
-Confidence-
Twenty minutes had passed and I was being rushed up to Teddy's bedroom. We had no time to rehearse or anything. Shooting had to start the minute we got into our places.
His mom had explained the whole concept of the video to me. We were going to be sitting in his room watching TV, until he turns the TV off and gets up to get his guitar. Once he gets his guitar he was supposed to sit back down and start playing for me until the director said cut, and that would be the basic idea of the first bit of the video.
Second, I was free to have a break. Teddy was set to do some solo shots of him sitting in his room playing his guitar and singing the song. After that scene was over the last scene was somewhat of a surprise.
What I knew about the last scene was very little. All I knew was we were going to at the beginning be out of the pool and in the end we would end up in the pool. It was all a mystery that I would just have to wait and figure out.
-Confidence-
Nearly an hour had passed and we had decided to skip a few of the scenes and just start working on the last scene. I had been in the bathroom getting fixed up for the last scene. They had a cute bathing suit and over-dress picked out for me.
"I think you will enjoy this last scene the most," Teddy's mom said to me as I sat in the chair getting my hair done, and my make-up touched up. "Teddy has been talking about it ever since we left for New York. He said he's been waiting for this moment."
"I hope I'll enjoy it as much as you think I will," I replied. "So far I have had tons of fun. Thanks for actually letting me stay here until tomorrow."
"No problem. It was the least I could do to get Teddy to stop talking about it. He is really excited about you being in the video."
"Aw, I'm glad to be in the video. I was thrilled when he asked me to be in it."
"We had better get you out there. They are starting to shoot in like two minutes."
"Oh gosh," I said grabbing everything I needed and running for the pool.
-Confidence-
It was now time to shoot the last scene. My nerves had finally gotten to me. I was so anxious to figure out what the big surprise was. Actually, I was just excited to see how this scene would pan out since I knew nothing about it.
"Are you ready?" Teddy whispered as we stood in position.
"I have no choice," I whispered back as they started playing the music.
All I knew to do was put on a smile and just follow Teddy's lead. The minute we got poolside Teddy took off his shirt and did a cannonball into the pool, just like it said in the song. I then slipped my over-dress off and I too dove into the pool, swimming over to Teddy the minute I hit the water.
Once I reached him, Teddy took my hand and led me over to the steps. He took a seat on one end, and I sat next to him.
The song was almost over, which meant the scene was almost over. What was the big surprise? There had been no surprise yet.
Seconds before the song ended I looked up at Teddy and he smiled. Right as the last line of the song started to play, Teddy leaned in and kissed me right smack on my lips. The song ended, and we climbed out of the pool.
I quickly ran over to the chairs and grabbed my towel. It was so cold, I thought I was going to freeze to death. But, seconds later Teddy came up and hugged me as he whispered, "Thanks," into my ear.
"No problem," I whispered back as we walked up the steps to meet his mom.
His mom had nothing but a smile on her face. She seemed happy with the first day of video shooting. I glanced over at Teddy to see that he too was smiling. He was obviously happy with something.
All I knew was that if Teddy was happy, I was happy.
