Alright, so I decided to post another one. Because I got bored and started writing today. :]
Enjoy, and do tell me what you all think.
I heard the continuous beeping coming out of the alarm clock that was located across the room from where I resided, in my bed. If I kept the alarm clock right next to me, I would just hit snooze and then be late for school EVERY day, which wouldn’t be fair. Why should I deprive everyone of my extreme awesome-ness?
I got up slowly and practically crawled to the other side of the room, I wasn’t human until I had at least two cups of coffee, and even then, I was still pretty harsh.
It was six am, and I had around two and a half hours until school started; just enough time for me to get ready and see Zach, who was pretty much my other half. He went to a public school not far from mine and was in a local band. My parents didn’t exactly approve of us dating, but I didn’t exactly care, I was always the “little rebel”.
I walked into the bathroom connected to my room and plugged in my flat iron. While I waited for it to heat up I brushed my teeth, turned on my stereo as loud as it could go, and then got out my make-up. Here’s something that makes me just a tad different from all of the fake blondes that go to my school: I wear interesting make-up, or at least I wasn’t the usual black eyeliner and black lashes. Today I decided on a teal to line my eyes and just keep the mascara black, I was too lazy to care that much.
I straightened my long curly black hair carefully, making sure I didn’t singe it or anything; I didn’t want to have to get it cut. Right now it was down to my waist and I was planning on cutting it, but I was going to wait until our first concert. I just wanted to shock everyone when I walked in with pixie short hair instead of this long monstrosity that came out of my head.
The only really good thing about my school was that I didn’t really have to learn at all. I was there because of my talents. Oh, that and the fact that we didn’t have to wear uniforms like all of the other private schools in the area. Then again, there weren’t that many private schools in Iowa… but this was by far the best one ever.
I put on a pair of jeans that were shredded and a plain white shirt with a brown shrunken vest over it. I put on a few necklaces and a pair heels and headed down the stairs for my breakfast.

I walked into the back door of Zach’s house quietly, trying my best not to draw attention to myself. Everyone was already awake and his parents loved me, but I felt bad for invading their space pretty much every morning. It was a wonder they didn’t hate me.
I walked up the steps cautiously and opened up the familiar door that had numerous posters splattered on it. I slipped off my shoes gently and felt the comfort of his padded carpet underneath my feet as I tip-toed over to his bedside, where he lay sleeping.
His hair was a mess and his mouth was hanging open, plus he was practically only half on the bed as I started running my hands through his hair and began to sing “Dear Prudence” by The Beatles.
I was greeted by a familiar groan as he rolled over and opened his eyes slowly. He kind of gave me this look of annoyance, but he would be thanking me. After all, if I wasn’t around, he would never wake up on time for class.
“Wake up, sweetie. I won’t be able to see you for a while. And that makes me sad. And I don’t wanna be sad,” I sang. He just smiled at me a little and pulled me onto his bed so I had to sit on his chest.
“You know that you’re cutely annoying, right?” I looked down into his extremely dark brown eyes and nodded. I ran one hand through his tousled brown hair and sighed, then I proceeded to lean down a little bit and give him a kiss on the lips before I got off his bed.
“I know that you showered last night and that all you need to do is get dressed. So please hurry up so we can get our Starbucks and then I can go to school.” I did a little dance while I said it and he laughed, getting up and walking out of the room to go to the bathroom at the end of the hall. When he returned he had my favorite bracelet that I left here a week ago. I came over here in the mornings only once a week, I couldn’t afford to get up this early everyday, it was just obnoxious. I would normally just wake up and then send Zach a text, which he would flip out about because he had his cell underneath his pillow and it was up all the way. But that’s not my fault.
“Why are you so anxious to get to school anyways?” he asked quietly, still not quite awake. That coffee run really was needed.
“Well, I need to get there early. We have some new kid coming to school or something. Its supposed to be this big deal, and I guess it is considering that we’re like… halfway through the year and getting someone new. So they must be extremely talented. Or famous. I’m not really looking forward to it because I have to show them around. And they got to stalk me for the day.” We went through the Starbucks drive-thru and ordered cappuccinos, we were too lazy to actually order anything intricate, and I didn’t really have that much cash on me at the moment.
“I wish I could stalk you for the day. That would be pretty fun.”
“Yes, but we would probably stop in the halls and start making out. Which means I would get major demerits and detentions. Not fun for Shelly,” I said. He just chuckled as I dropped him off at his own respective school and got on my way.
I parked in the back parking lot, making sure I wasn’t going to run into any kind of troubles later and got out of my car slowly, picking up my purse on the way.
I walked through the halls quietly, we had an hour until classes started, but no one was really running around. It was quite eerie as I opened the door and found my choir teacher standing there, blocking my view from whoever this new student was.
“Shelly, you’re late. You know the penalty.” I sighed and walked into the room all the way and listened to the familiar click of the door as it shut behind me.
There I was greeted with the familiar sight of raven hair and azure eyes.
“What the hell..?”
Enjoy, and do tell me what you all think.
