Sorry. I'm not @ my dad's right this moment. I'll be there, finishing up the chapter, tomorrow afternoon/night. I hope to have the first chapter up soon. I'm also trying to make it a REALLY good first chapter. =)

When It Comes
Sequel to “I’ll Always Be There For You”
Chapter 1
Days passed and I hadn’t spoken to Teddy since the girls and I had left New York. I was surprised Teddy hadn’t called me in a panic, wanting to know what my answer to his question was. It was nearing the fourth of July which meant Jamie, Alyssa, and I were busy planning our annual Fourth of July bash, which was going to be held at my house this year.
“Who exactly are we planning on inviting this year? Is it the usual crowd?” I asked Alyssa as the three of us (Jamie, Alyssa, and me) sat at the kitchen table of my house.
“The usual crowd with the exception of Drake and Teddy,” Alyssa replied as she continued to write names down on the notebook pad she had bought just for the party planning.
“I hate to bring this up, but have you talked to Teddy yet? It’s been over a week…I think,” Jamie said as she stared me down. “You probably have the poor boy worried to death. He probably thinks you said no! You aren’t going to say no, are you?”
“I think I’d be stupid if I said no to him. He’s too great of a guy. I don’t think I’m going to let this one get away…at least not right now,” I replied with a smile and a laugh as my house phone rang. “I shall get that,” I laughed as I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, grabbing the telephone on my way to the couch.
-When It Comes-
“Hello,” I answered as I sat back and relaxed in the lazy-boy recliner.
“Why…hello stranger,” Teddy’s very familiar voice said on the other end of the telephone line. “It has been a few days, wouldn’t you say?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry about that. Ever since we got back home we’ve been busy with party planning. I should’ve taken a little time off and sent you a text saying ‘hi’ or something. I feel like such a bad girlfriend. Don’t hate me forever.”
“What kind of party planning are you girls doing? And did I just hear you say that word girlfriend? I think I did.”
“We are planning our annual Fourth of July bash. This year the party is being held at my house. You and Drake are both invited! And yes, you heard me say the word girlfriend. That means that we are officially an item. You can now tell every interviewer that you are happily taken by the most awesome girl in the world, right?”
“I don’t think those will be my exact words, but I’ll say something like that.”
“That’s nice to know,” I laughed. “When are you coming back into town? It better be soon. The Fourth of July is only a week or so away you know.”
“I know. I’m not THAT stupid. I got that much out of history class.”
“Yeah, history has never been my subject either. I’m so glad it is summer though. I don’t think I could’ve taken another minute of that woman’s lecturing. She is SO annoying to me.”
“I am sure your teacher isn’t all that bad. You are forgetting that you not liking history plays a part in not liking the class; can’t always blame it on the teacher.”
“Oh…SUCK UP,” I laughed. “Now answer my question, please. When are you coming back into town? It better be soon! Are you even going to be able to come to our big bash?”
“Of course I’m coming to the party. That’s one of my days off, I think. And I should be in town in like twenty minutes or so. I had a show in Atlanta earlier this morning. Now I’m headed to my house for a little while, so I can get some rest.”
“Oh okay, yeah, it sounds like you need a lot of rest. You sound really sleepy. Have you gotten any sleep the past few nights?”
“Honestly, no. I’ve been worried sick that you were going to turn me down. I don’t know what I would have done if you said no.”
“Teddy, I would be stupid to say no to you. You are like the perfect boyfriend, the one I’ve always dreamed about. You match the Prince Charming that’s in my dreams. Okay, that was really cheesy but it’s so true.”
“If I’m your Prince Charming, then you’re my Cinderella.”
“I always wanted to be like Cinderella.”
“Well, now you get your chance. Anyways…I need to be getting off of this phone before my mom tries to call me. She didn’t ride home with me. She had to go shopping, but she’s supposed to call and make sure I got home okay.”
“Okay, I guess I will be nice and let you off the hook for now.”
“You had better, Cinderella. I will be at your house in like two hours or so. I’m just now pulling up to my house. Let me get a good nap and get some things unpacked and I’ll be over there ASAP. Is that okay with you?”
“Goober, I already said it was okay with me! I’m sure you need the rest. You work so hard, sometimes I think it’s too hard.”
“Don’t call me a goober, you goober.”
“Okay Prince Charming, don’t push your luck!”
“Yes Cinderella,” Teddy laughed as I heard a car door slam.
“Okay…bye!” I said as I hung up my phone.
-When It Comes-
“Wow…you and lover boy had a long talk, huh?” Alyssa laughed as I walked back into the dining room.
“It wasn’t that long. You and Mr. Tyler have had longer talks than that. So have Jamie and Drake,” I said as I sat down at the table. “Okay, who is going to be in charge of the decorations this year?”
“ME!” Jamie said as her hand shot up in the air.
“Alright then,” Alyssa laughed. “Kourt, I’ll be in charge of the food. That leaves you handle the invitations and all of that good stuff. Is that okay with you?”
“That is perfectly alright with me. Actually, that’s kind of what I wanted to do anyways,” I said as Jamie’s cell phone began to ring.
“I had better take this. It’s Drake,” Jamie said.
“We know,” Alyssa and I both said with a laugh as Jamie got up from the table and headed out of the room.
-When It Comes-
Two hours passed and I was awaiting Teddy’s arrival at any minute. Jamie and Alyssa had left an hour ago, after Jamie finally got off the phone with Drake. I told them I would call them later once Teddy had gone home or whatever. They said they didn’t want to invade our privacy so it didn’t bother them, yeah…right.
Right as I sat down on the couch and changed the television channel, the doorbell rang.
“It’s about time,” I sighed as I got back up off of the couch and somewhat ran to the front door.
“Hi Cinderella,” Teddy somewhat laughed as I opened the door.
“Hi Prince Charming,” I said as I reached out and hugged Teddy. “Sorry I look like crap right now. Today has been a bad day. I haven’t felt like doing anything with myself.”
“I don’t care. To me you look just fine. You always look beautiful.”
“Well, thanks.”
“You are always welcome,” Teddy said as he grabbed hold of my hand and then kissed it seconds later.
“You are such a sweetheart. It’s no wonder why I said yes to you,” I said as I smiled at Teddy and walked into the living room.
-When It Comes-
Teddy and I walked into the living room and one of my favorite Kelly Clarkson songs was playing, “Before Your Love”.
“I love this song!” I said excitedly as I grabbed hold of Teddy’s hand once again.
“Yeah…it’s a good song I guess,” Teddy replied with a simple shrug of his shoulders.
“It kind of…oh never mind, that would sound really dorky.”
“No, tell me what you were going to say. You started to say it. Now you have to finish it.”
“Okay, I guess I will tell you. I was just going to say this song reminds me so much of you.”
“That’s nice,” Teddy said with a smile as he kissed my forehead.
