I hate music appreciation. Its the most useless class in the history of useless classes. And biology... Don't even get me started! LOL

Yeah, and my teacher is horrible. He's a nice guy, but I don't like him as a teacher. He gets sidetracked so easily. It's so hard to take notes in his class too.
My biology class itself isn't bad. I just DREAD going to lab because it's two hours long, and it's only ONE credit hour. And our teacher is an Indian graduate student, so at times it's hard to understand her. Yeah. lol.
I'll try and write this afternoon after my midterm.

So, I haven't had a chance to finish the next chapter. I'll try and finish it after Orientation class this morning.

I'm going to finish typing after Biology class. It'll give me something to do since I'll be at home until tomorrow, when I'll be heading to Auburn for the big ball game.

Chapter 3:
Weeks passed, and my belly was getting bigger every day. I was starting to become more emotional too. It didn’t help that for the past three months Teddy had been in New York City filming a movie. This time, when he was gone, I found myself having Jamie over pretty much every night. Each night we’d watch some chick flick, and I’d be pigging out on my number one craving...Ben & Jerry’s Cake batter ice cream.
“You know you can’t have a party without me!” Teddy said as he walked into our living room and found Jamie and I on the couch, watching ‘The Notebook’.
“Kourtni, I told you...NO strippers,” Jamie laughed as I struggled to stand up.
“Need some help babe?” Teddy asked, extending his hand.
“Thanks,” I said as Teddy helped pulling me up off the couch. “I’ve gotten super big these past two months, can’t you tell?”
“I still think you’re gorgeous,” he smiled, then kissed me on my cheek.
“Thanks babe,” I said as I felt one of the babies moving around inside my tummy. I grabbed Teddy’s hand and put it on my stomach. “Do you feel that?”
“My little men are moving around. That’s awesome.”
“It’s not awesome when they have me waking up at three every morning. They are very active little boys.”
“If they’ve got you up that early already, I’d hate to see how early they have you waking up when they are actually here, after they are born,” Jamie said as she stood up and headed to put her ice cream back in the freezer.
Out of nowhere I felt a sharp pain shoot down my spine. I put one hand on Teddy’s shoulder and the other up under my belly. After doing this I felt something running down my leg. My water had just broken. I was going into labor.
“Baby, are you okay? The look on your face is scaring me,” Teddy said as I began to do the breathing that I had learned in one of my labor classes. “Kourtni, I’m scared. What’s going on?”
“She’s going into labor you dork,” Jamie said. “Kourt, I’m going to go grab the bag we packed the other night. Okay?”
“That’s fine. Jamie, you just meet us at the hospital. I’ve got to go now,” I said as Teddy grabbed his keys off the coffee table and helped me out the front door of our house.
-A Little Bit Longer-
It was well after two in the morning, and the doctors were still convinced that I was going to deliver the twins naturally, without a c-section. I told them they were crazy. It’s very rare that you hear about someone giving birth to twins naturally. I was sure that when I came in they were going to whisk me away to the operating room, but boy was I wrong. They made me wait. I think the last time the doctor came in to check me I was seven centimeters dilated, and that was two hours ago.
“Baby...can you call the doctors in here? They need to check me. It’s been two hours,” I said to Teddy as I turned my head and saw he was sleeping. “Great,” I sighed.
I reached for the emergency button behind my bed, but I couldn’t get to it. My fingers weren’t long enough, and it didn’t help that the one that was supposed to be in my bed was now on the floor.
“TEDDY!” I screamed as Teddy rolled right off the couch, smacking his head on the hard floor.
“What? What’s going on? Did I miss something?” he asked as he ‘brushed’ his hair out of his face.
“No, nothing’s happened. Nothing has happened for two hours. I want you to go find my doctor and tell him to come check me. He hasn’t checked me in two hours. My contractions are getting worse. I know this because they wouldn’t let me get the stupid epidural. I’ve got the urge to push, but they told me not to push until I get the okay from them.”
“Okay. I’m right on it,” Teddy said as he bolted out of my hospital room.
-A Little Bit Longer-
At 3:05 A.M., I gave birth to Stephen Cooper Geiger. Three minutes later at 3:08 A.M., I gave birth to Theodore Ansley Geiger. Baby Cooper weighed in at four pounds, six ounces, and was seventeen inches long. Baby Ansley weighed in at five pounds even and was sixteen inches long.
After a careful look at the babies, my doctor said they were perfectly healthy for tiny newborns. The nurses whisked the babies off to the nursery to get them bathed and things like that. I hadn’t even seen the babies yet, and I was anxious to see them. Teddy and Jamie, on the other hand, got to leave my room and go see the babies. They were just now coming back to give me the report on the babies.
“Oh my gosh, Kourtni, Ansley and Cooper are ADORABLE! I can’t get over how cute they are,” Jamie excitedly told me as we hugged one another.
“I can’t wait until I get to see them. What are they doing with them now?” I asked, looking over at Teddy.
“They are putting them in those special carts with the closed little thingys on them,” Teddy informed me. “I don’t know what they’re called, but the nurses said it was so they could breathe better or something. I don’t know. I’m clueless. I just wanted to see my guys.”
“But they’re healthy, right? They have ten fingers and ten toes?”
“Yes, they’ve got ten fingers and ten toes. Everything is perfectly okay. They think Ansley may have jaundice, but they’re not sure,” Teddy shrugged as he leaned over the railing of my bed and kissed me on my cheek.
Then the door was being pushed open. In walked my Uncle Brad and Aunt Kim with baby Huck asleep in Aunt Kim’s arms. They came in with balloons and flowers and bags of presents for me and Teddy and the babies. Shortly after they came in, the nurses pushed the babies inside the room in their little carts.
“Here are your little guys,” one of the nurses smiled as she and the other nurse began to take the babies out of their carts. They put the babies on my chest and a tear rolled down my face. “The one with the solid blue cap is Ansley. Cooper has the striped cap.”
“Thanks,” I smiled as the nurses left the room. “Ted, they’re beautiful,” I cried as Ansley began to cry. “It sounds like they’ve got some good lungs and some pipes on them. They may take after us in singing.”
“Who knows?” Teddy asked with a shrug of his shoulders. “Don’t you think you should feed them?”
“You know I’m breast feeding, right? My doctor is making me try it for the first month or so, just to see how it goes. I’ll want privacy though...just me, you, and the babies.”
“We’ll wait outside,” Uncle Brad informed us.
“Yeah, I’ll wait with them,” Jamie smiled as the four of them quickly exited the room.
“Okay, Ansley’s really fussy now. Why don’t you hold Cooper while I try feeding Ansley?” I asked Teddy.
“Alright, I’ll do that,” he said as he picked Cooper up off my chest and began to walk around the room with him. “He’s so tiny. And Kourt, he looks like you,” Teddy smiled.
“Oh man, Ansley is like your twin. Ted, he’s already got your facial expressions mastered, down pat,” I giggled as I attempted feeding Ansley.
“You know the expression...the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
-A Little Bit Longer-
It had been eight hours since the babies entered this place we call the world. Since then I hadn’t had any visitors come in. Teddy said his parents managed to get a red-eye and were on their way to visit us. My parents, well, I didn’t talk to them much. Uncle Brad said my Popie was on his way, which meant a lot to me. Other than that not many people had come by, except for a few of Uncle Brad’s singing friends...like Dierks Bentley and his wife, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift.
“Uncle Brad, I can’t believe Carrie, Dierks, and Taylor came to see me! I’m surprised they even remember me,” I said as I looked over at my uncle who was holding one of the twins; I couldn’t see which one.
“Several months ago we were at an awards’ show and I brought it into conversation. They all said they remembered you and wanted me to call them when you had the babies so they could drop by and give you something special,” Uncle Brad smiled as a knock came at the door.
“I’ll get it,” Aunt Kim smiled as she stood up and walked towards the hospital door.
I heard the door crack open and heard Aunt Kim gasp. Whoever was at the door startled Aunt Kim. It was obviously someone she didn’t expect to see.
“I...I guess you can come in,” Aunt Kim sighed as I watched her step aside and let whoever it was come in.
Before I knew it my ex-boyfriend, Chris Young, was walking into the room. What was he doing here? How did he know about me having the babies?
“Chris? What are you doing here?” I asked, starting to get a little frightened.
“I overheard your Uncle Brad talking about the babies at the awards’ show, and I asked if he’d call me when you gave birth. I just stopped by to bring you some things. Mind if I bring them in?” he asked.
Wow. I had never seen Chris be this nice before.
“Yeah, sure, I don’t see why not,” I sighed as he walked out of the room and walked back in with a huge box. “What’s that?”
“I asked your uncle what you did and didn’t have, and he said you didn’t have a crib yet. I hope you don’t mind that I bought you one. Congratulations. I know you’ll be a great mother,” he smiled.
“Chris, I don’t know what came over you. All of the sudden you are acting really nice, the nicest I’ve ever seen you. What made you do this?” I asked him.
“I realized how much of an ass I was. I shouldn’t have treated you the way I did. My actions were wrong, and I apologize. Now I know you’re married, but I’d still like it if we can be friends. In the future if you ever need a babysitter, you can count on me...that is if you agree to be my friend again.”
“How can I not be your friend? You bought my babies a crib, and you and I haven’t even spoken in forever. I appreciate everything Chris. It means a lot. Come here...I want a huge,” I told Chris as he walked over to my bedside and leaned down to give me a hug.
“I know we don’t know each other, but thanks,” Teddy smiled as he and Chris shook hands. “You don’t know how much I appreciate this.”
“Anytime man...by the way, your music is pretty cool. You’ve got a nice voice, and you’re pretty sweet on guitar.”
“Thanks man. I haven’t really heard any of your stuff since Kourtni has like banned it in our house,” Teddy laughed.
“That’s alright,” Chris laughed. “Well, I just wanted to stop by and say hello...make sure everyone is doing alright. I’ve got to catch a plane to California.”
“Thanks again Chris. It really does mean a lot,” I smiled as we waved goodbye to Chris as he left the hospital room. “Wow. I never thought he’d come around and apologize for what he did. That means more than anything.”
“Ted, why don’t we take the crib down to yours and Kourtni’s car?” Uncle Brad asked.
“Yeah, let’s do that,” Teddy said as they picked up the crib and started out of my hospital room.
This had been an unbelievable day. I had finally given birth to two beautiful twin boys, and then my ex-boyfriend came back into the picture and gave me a crib. He apologized for everything he did and even seemed to like Teddy. I decided maybe being friends with Chris wasn’t a bad idea.

OMG! I am so sorry I haven't been on here in forever! I loved it by the way! Those are such cute names too! And while it may be nice to be friends with your ex, I don't know if I feel too good about this guy... I mean, sometimes people don't change - they just learn how to hide their true self better....
But I did love the update! And I hope that Jamie gets to babysit those cuties! Hehee

Yeah, I agree with you about how people learn to hide their true self better. I've known a few people who do that. lol. I'm glad you liked the update, and don't worry about not being here. These boards have been date, and I hate that. And Jamie babysitting the cuties...that could be arranged! Haha.
